I was reading this beautiful prayer today from page 790 of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. I have combined Dr Sant Singh Khalsa's translation with Bhai Manmohan Singh Ji's to give me greater clarity.
However, both of them insert the word 'sins' at the end of the fourth line (in bold)...
This is just my personal opinion. In this situation is it more important to pray than it is to cover your head. What a loss it would be to deny prayer for the sake of a bit of cloth. So contrarily, it is wrong to not pray due to the lack of a headcovering.
