There is always a dilemma. Lack of water filtration is causing the fish to die in the sarovar. No end to dilemmas.

The most startling image in this collection is: http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/histo...s-and-prints-harimandir-sahib.html#post127986

A Cathedral right in the parikarma of Sri Darbar Sahib??? I am shocked. What were the Christian doing by constructing such a towering cathedral? Were they planning to convert Darbar Sahib into a Christian Missionary Center? When this Cathedral was demolished? and Why? I have never seen this image in my life and never heard of it either? This image requires a thorough study of Sikh history all over again. And these are the same Britishers, who also gave us Dasam Granth! No doubt if they can built a Cathedral right in the parikarma of Darbar Sahib then they also introduce what ever they wanted to dilute the Sikh history.

Narayanjot ji this images deserves a new topic and an indepth study of Sikh history all over again. May i take the liberty of starting a new topic based on this image?

Regards

Aman ji

No probs starting a new thread. I think it is not a cathedral. It looks like a clock tower to me. The British had a penchant for that. This could actually turn into something very interesting as a historical discussion.

Was there a cathedral? Or was it another structure like a clock tower?

How did it get into the picture? Did the artist just put it there? Or was it demolished?

What sources are available to answer this question?

The thread could lead to some very good detective work. Sounds good to me.

hi admin , but no fish died before 2005( before installing filter ) . this problem can be sorted out by more frequent JAL change from sarovar .

prior to installment of filters , JAL in sarovar used to be stand still , calm , very beautiful upside down image of Golden Temple in sarovar formed due to reflection of Sunlight especially on evenings

gursikh-albums-plz-click-picture-picture731-gtfront.jpg

now due to outlets of filters inside Sarovar , Jal came out with a force , create movement /vibration of Jal , Which results in distortion of Calm saturated image as shown below ,

This looks like an authentic real photograph clicked by somebody and not an artists imagination... i think it looks like a part of bigger construction, the four domes around the clock tower, pointing to heavens look like a Cathedral like construction.

There is another painting (here) in this collection where a Granthi is reading from Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji and it reminded me of another discussion: http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/dasam...-two-granths-together-parkarma-harmandir.html

This is really interesting!

From which website are these images shared!

Regards
