Guru Teg Bahadur Ji sacrificed his own life on the prayers of the Kashmiri Pundits for saving Hinduism, in Delhi. The last remains of many Sikh Gurus have been put into the Satluj River flowing nearby Kiratpur. Even today many Sikhs bring the remnants of their dead and put into Satluj River instead of going to Hardwar.. I visited Makaron and isserail 5 years ago. Then there was nothing to link Gurdwara Theh sahib Isserhail with Guru Nanak. A small Gurdwara which had been newly constructed had details of Guru Teg bahadur’s visit to makaron and the copy of Hukamnama issued by Guru Teg Bahahur to Bhai Rup Chand and Mai Mari whose place Guru Teg Bahadur stayed for 17 days as stated on the board both at Makaron and Isserhail. This hukamnama and the history is still kept at gurdwara Isserhail even now however a new board giving the history of Gurudwara Isserhail has been installed as can be seen above. I contacted some responsible persons at isserahail to know about Guru Nanak’s visit but no one could give details abouot it specially where from guru Nanak came and where to he went. I prepared the maps of all travels (udasis) and did not find any link to Issrhail. None of the printed material available could give any detail either except the new one given at pp.160-161 of guru Nanak’s blessed trail published by Punjab Govt at 500th year of Birth celebrations. . Hence I request that if some one can give some authentic evidence about Guru Nanak’s tracvels to Isserhail it will be mo=st appreciated.
