(4) Lambwali has been blessed by the visits of Guru Nanak Sahib, Guru Hargobind Sahib and Guru Gobind Singh Sahib.</p><p>Lambwali was then a village among the sandy dunes. When Guru Nanak visited Lambwali he asked Bhai Mardana to bring water from a sadhu nearby.(1) The sadhu was said to be overweight and lethargic. He refused to get up and refused to give water to Bhai Mardana. Bhai Mardana went to the sadhu three times but every time the sadhu refused to give water asking him to wait till his disciple came. (2) On the fourth visit Guru Nanak accompanied Bhai Mardana. Guru Nanak addressed the sadhu and said, 'Sadhu you are sitting like a python (<em>sara</em>l) and can't serve water to people passing by'. Hearing the words of Guru Nanak, the sadhu panicked, he had been cursed. The sadhu fell at Guru Nank's feet and said 'I know I have been cursed, how can I be saved?'. Guru Nanak said that he would return in his sixth life to set him free. (1)(2)</p><p></p><p>After battle of Mehraj Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji visited his daughter's village nearby at Malla. Guru Hargobind Sahib recognized the sadhu who was reborn as a snake and set him free, Guru Hargobind then visited Lambwali. Guru Gobind Singh came here from Jaito while going towards Kotkapura.. Guru Sahib tied his horses and stopped to rest. The people of village told Guru Sahib that there are snakes in the trees. Guru Sahib said they were not snakes, that they were just lizards. Since then, the villagers have never experienced problems with snakes or snake bites. Gurdwara is about two furlongs from the village. (2) Gurdwara has been constructed at the place visited by Guru Nanak. (3) There are however three Gurdwaras now constructed by the local sangat. A sarovar is attached with the Gurdwaras.
