Your community can go to any Gurdwara and convert to Sikhi if the “Sikhs” do not believe you are Sikhs.
This will help you and your tribe manifolds.
No one can take away that from you.
All the marginalized Sikh communities should do the same in defiance to the honchos of Sikhi themselves who...
Pita ji, Bhai Sahib, Prof Puran Singh- Pita ji's cousin and Sobha Singh the portrait painter used to spend every summer in Kasauli along with others.
Pita ji had distanced himself after this Hemkunt's charade as per himself but they still remained close friends. I learnt a lot about my family...
Dr. Alta,
Please mind the language when you talk about any religion and by calling it garbage you demean yourself. We all have different opinions which we are all entitled to
Civility should be in the front seat especially from a person who calls him/herself a Doctor.
You may have many...
That is a very frothy attitude for a Sikh, I must say. But you have been petulant ever since you started giving only your opinions rather than interacting and learning together. When asked about references from the SGGS, you become angry and abusive to a certain extent, which is a shame indeed...
Not really. It is a fact, as simple as that. Sharing and teaching are two different things. Vand Kei Chaknah is sharing in Sikhi and our Gurus encouraged us and even gave us the tools to chisel ourselves with.
Guru Nanak never taught during his travels -udassis to the four corners, he shared...
Sorry to disappoint you but that is your conclusion, not mine. Sharing one's knowledge is not giving one a fish. The fact of the matter is Guru Nanak shared with others what he knew. Teachers are those who claim to know more than the one they are teaching. Neither Guru Nanak, nor any other Guru...
Sorry to burst your bubble, everything you say sounds beautiful but you have no concrete examples to prove that despite several requests.
As you claim many things and when asked for the references from the Sggs, our only Guru, you are quick to change the subject and/or start berating those who...
Sorry to burst your bubble, helping does not mean teaching. And Seva is the cornerstone of Sikhi which I happen to agree with.
Firstly, sharing is not teaching. How sharing a piece of bread or an idea can be teaching. It is sharing which Sikhi demands from us. Simply put. Please use Gurbani...
Well, you are contradicting yourself again as you usually do.
As there is no religion called Sikhi, as a result, there is no god either because a religion and god are like the Siamese twins.
I am a bit confused now. Are you implying Guru Nanak is God for you? You above contradictory post...
Well said!
I have been fortunate enough to say a couple of things for decades when I came to the realization about the true message of Gurbani.
Sikhi is not a religion as the religions are defined/described by other religions.
Sikhi has no God as gods are defined/described by the religions...
I agree with Harry, we cannot teach anyone except ourselves. Guru Nanak has never said anywhere to go out and teach but he gave us the tools how to become a conversationalist through his own actions. Sidhgosht is a good starter to hone this..
Please stop getting into a sarcastic attitude of t it for tat with me. We will both end up being losers rather than what we are trying to do here, that is, to become better as human beings.
Are you implying I don’t know Guru Nanak but you do? That is a shameless attitude laced with Me-ism...
