This is the story of Saheb Singh, a young Sikh, 6 year old, aspiring chess champion from Gainesville Florida.

He is in Kindergarten at Oak Hall School where he is sweeping awards across the board and making the community proud. Thanks to the wonderful training provided at school by his superb coach Mr Tim Tusing and numerous practice games with Dad, Hardeep Singh Gulati, and big brother Nihal, who is also an excellent chess player
Saheb was ranked 5th in Chess nationals held in Orlando in December, 2012 when he was 5 years old.
In 2013 as the year started, Saheb got ranked #1 in North Florida Regional Chess tournament amongst Kindergarten-1st grade category with a perfect score of 6-0. This tournament was held recently in early February at the University of Florida campus in Gainesville, FL.
Now Saheb and his Oak Hall school team are getting ready for Florida state championship to be held at Tampa in April, 2013
Saheb and his KG team from Oak Hall School, Gainesville were recently featured on GTN TV.
