It is amazing how in the past 30 years the idea the history began with "ME" has taken hold of the collective consciousness. But did the elders neglect to take the situation in hand and "teach" whether the young wanted to hear it or not. I don't remember having a choice in the matter. Then all of a sudden everyone had choices. Did "they"handle that well? Did "we" do our duty?
