Dear Roopsidhu ji,I completely agree that the wording is not specific.In fact the current wordings did not come into play until long after Guru Gobind Singh Ji.What do you think the purpose of ardaas should be? Is it a unity thing? A personal thing? Is to provide thanks or think about what to achieve in life?In Gurdwara, ardas seems ritualistic but it obviously has a deeper meaning as it is mentioned in Gurbani so much. It would be interesting to hear how others use and view ardaas?
