Dear Friends .

 

Recently I also came across History of Guru Granth Sahib

 

The most unfortunate thing that I came across was that we dont have Original Copy of Bir Written By Bhai Gurdas Ji In presence of Guru Arjan Dev JI at Amritsar before installation in Harmandir Sahib in 1604.

 

And the original version of Bir which was compliled in 1708 in writing of Bhai Mani Singh Ji in presence of Guru Gobind Singh ji

 

Both are not with Sikh Panth at the moment

 

But anyway just for the information In 1708 when the Bir was Compiled in Handwriting of Bhai Mani Singh Ji in presence of Guru Gobind Singh Ji , at the time total four Copies were made .So actually we have authentic version of Bir of Guru Granth Sahib to which Gurgadi was bestowed along with Khalsa panth.
