Has Sikhism Strayed Away From Path Of Oneness Of Humanity ?

Sikhism talks about the "oneness" of humanity. Guru Nanak Dev ji was against distinguishing between people on the basis of "religion."

Has Sikhi strayed from this path by trying so hard to assert itself as a distinctive identity?

Its a mixed bag....... Part of the oneness we are supposed to share is freedom to live as we are. Sikhs shouldn't lose there identity. But the other problem is most people when they define themselves as a certain type they consider those outside of that type "wrong, evil" which is what most religions have done. Though no religion says to do this our minds have been warped to think that those not within our "circle of friendship" as the bad group.

Main thing is to be who you are withing opposing upon others. Be Sikhs. Be proud to be Sikh. But don't ever say or think those that aren't are inferior. This problem has been causing Islam, Chirstianity thousands of problems.

Dear Aman Ji,

Sikhi is what it was and will be the same. Some Sikhs might have strayed away from the path of Oneness of humanity.

With love and respect for all.

Sikhi is and always be on the path of Oneness, its the followers, us Sikhs to step up and accpet the teachings. How can we call oursleves Sikhs when we don't follow Sikhi word for word. We need to follow Sikhi to the max. Sikhi will never stray away from God!
