I think we are mixing apples with oranges. The original thread is about the threaded mala and its use in the repetition required in the form of Simran. It has nothing to do with "the thread" you and SP mentioned. However, the last sentence of the little poem exactly urges us to do that.

Having said that, it is a very interesting topic and there is no one better to start a new thread with that in mind than you so we can have this conversation in this very context.

Will eagerly wait for it to add my 2 cent worth.
