Balbir Singh Ji,

Ang 555 of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj:

salok mehlaa 3.
Shalok, Third Mehl:

raam raam kartaa sabh jag firai raam na paa-i-aa jaa-ay.
The entire world roams around, chanting, "Raam, Raam, Lord, Lord", but the Lord cannot be obtained like this.

agam agochar at vadaa atul na tuli-aa jaa-ay.
He is inaccessible, unfathomable and so very great; He is unweighable, and cannot be weighed.

keemat kinai na paa-ee-aa kitai na la-i-aa jaa-ay.
No one can evaluate Him; He cannot be purchased at any price.

gur kai sabad bhaydi-aa in biDh vasi-aa man aa-ay.
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, His mystery is known; in this way, He comes to dwell in the mind.

naanak aap amay-o hai gur kirpaa tay rahi-aa samaa-ay.
O Nanak, He Himself is infinite; by Guru's Grace, He is known to be permeating and pervading everywhere.

aapay mili-aa mil rahi-aa aapay mili-aa aa-ay. ||1||
He Himself comes to blend, and having blended, remains blended. ||1||

O GurSikhs, know that the Bani, the Word of the True Guru, is true, absolutely true. The Creator Lord Himself causes the Guru to chant it.

Gurbani explains how people of the world say Ram Ram, (Waheguru, Nirankaar) and expect to reach Nirankaar.

Gurbani also explains Nirankaar (Raam) cannot be reached utilizing human standards.

Gurbani is the wayshower that points in the right direction - Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, His mystery is known.

Dear all and Sikh80 Jee!

Please provide a reference from the true Gurus that explains 'Bani and Gurbani are synonyms'.

Quote from Namjap Jee "Gurbani also explains Nirankaar (Raam) cannot be reached utilizing human standards."
Please explain. Who reaches Raam if this is not a human being? I will be thankful.

Is Nirankaar exclusively for those who possess Gurbaanee?

Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakaal!
Dear all and Sikh80 Jee!

I thought someone might answer 'yes' giving a reference from Gurdev.
Somebody may answer 'no' because Gurdev never said 'Gurbaanee is Nirankaar'. Gurdev said 'Baanee is Nirankaar'.
My curiosity is to know. Does the addition of 'Gur' to 'Baanee' changes Nirankaar?

Perhaps a gentle Sikh or a lady whose friend is a knowledgeable Sikh may answer it.

Please try to find quotes yourself, i.e. make the effort yourself. It will be more rewarding that way. Like I was told by someone, "keep saying sugar but you won't know the taste until you eat it."

Bani is Nirankaar.
We have three places where He is ,ofcourse,He is everywhere. He is outside and inside the body.He is our satguru.Inside in our heart is sat. Outside is sat'. The third sat that guru sahibs have given us is Granth Sahib. It is also sat. It is for us to find as to how to make the sat inside and outside meet with the help of the guidance of the Sat contained in Granth sahib.
Bani is Nirankaar.

Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakaal!
Dear all and Neech Jee!

Welcome to this forum.
God incarnates to execute all His activities. For human beings those are Godly and demonic, different. Neech is also an incarnation of God.
Your answer to the curiosity 'Is Gurbaanee also Nirankaar' is 'YES'.

Sometime back after a call from Gurdwaaraa Head Sikhs collected old BeeRs and Gutkas. They went on a particular day as planned on the bank of a river and celebrated the 'Daah Sanskaar'. The scene was touchy.
I was happy as Gurbaanee had incarnated as Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee and Gutkaas earlier.
This is the difference. A Jeev reincarnates life after the death ceremony.
Nirankaar incarnates before the death ceremony done by Sikhs.

Are Sikhs celebrating 'Daah Sanskaar' of Nirankaar knowingly?

Quote from Neech "Who are we to possess Gurbani?"
Perhaps this is the community of neechs who feel they possess Gurbaanee.

Quote "Gurbani possesses us."
Gurbaanee is not 'bhoot prayt'.

Quote "Please try to find quotes yourself."
Forums may have to close down according to your suggestion.

Quote from Aad0002 Jee "me neech appreciates your neech."
Aad0002 Jee was your fan in your last incarnation too.

Quote from Jasleen_Kaur Jee "the implication being that a lady cannot be a knowledgeable Sikh herself?"
God is Purakh. All other are Naarees. Men have found place only on earth.

Quote from Sikh80 Jee "We have three places where He is ,ofcourse,He is everywhere."
I have heard HE is found in ONE.

Quote "The third sat that guru sahibs have given us is Granth Sahib."
Gurdev is singing about the fourth stage and its truth also. Why have you missed it?

Thanks for the wonderful Vaaks from Gurdev.

Balbir Ji,
you asked if Nirankar is for those who possess Gurbani. So according to your statement, are those possesers bhoot prayt?
Balbir ji, perhaps a little more neech and less cleverness will serve you better.
