We all know That Sikh Girls want to Date and Marry Only Hindu Guys

All Sikh girls?

Sikh Girls Do not Want to Date and Marry Sikh Guys,

Do I detect some bitterness here?

Is there an increasing trend of Sikh Girls Dating More and More Bihari Hindu Guys?

I have no idea, it is not a trend I keep up with, is there a trend for people to select the best life partner that they feel they have a future with, probably,
i am asking this question because i have heard from many, that more and more Sikh Girls are dating Bihari Hindu Guys specially in Delhi, Chandigarh and Punjab

How many is many?

These Bihari Hindu guys are mostly students and office goers who have come to Delhi, Chandigarh and Punjab for further studies and to work in the above states

has any one noticed and seen such kind of trend too?

If your looking to stir up trouble for these Bihari Hindu guys with many queueing up to condemn them, you are probably in the wrong forum. The question is why if indeed this is taking place, is it taking place? Is it the media? Attitudes of Sikh men? the turban? the culture?

When we have a culture (Indian one !) that glorifies sardars but also laughs at them , and oh no jobs in news anchors or any anchor for that matter unless you're in a punjabi news channel !
Ever wondered why we rarely see any sikh men in the media ? How often u see a sikh man with dastar and beard in a hindi news channel or something like that ?

even the men who do anchoring are more often than not , clean shaven , Why ?

Despise for sikhi saroop ? We're a materialistic society man ! its more to do with materialism and superficial appearance than "anti-sikh" . I have seen hindus ridiculing long-haired hindu swamis also ! Hindus do often question their babas also why they keep long hair.

It seems more hindus these days in india give more of a puzzled and curious look at sardars than a disgusting look or something like that. They're genuinely curious , They asked me "Do you remove it (turban) at home?" . They want to know. We don't have many leaders getting out of their jatt-pride and punjabi-sikhism to tell them

I think its more of this mindset among people of trying to mingle in and assimilate rather than sticking out !
Most sikh women of today , trust me, are just as materialistic as any other woman or man !

Infact, I have seen hindu women also marrying sikh men . "Sardar ji" image despite all sardar jokes still add a bit of leverage to us in india .

I tell u we need more models !
More handsome young sikh men in advertisements of clothing, fashion, accessories .
Send a message : A Sikh man can be just as handsome as anyone else !

I had this hindu punjabi elderly man casually joke with me in a casual convo we were having :
"sardarni sohni , sardar jhalla" (sikh women are beautiful , sikh men are silly)
Needless to say I was quite offended

Sikhs make up a small percentage of India, so that would appear normal.

Ever wondered why we rarely see any sikh men in the media ? How often u see a sikh man with dastar and beard in a hindi news channel or something like that ?

well that would be a bit silly, if it were a Hindu news channel
even the men who do anchoring are more often than not , clean shaven , Why ?

there is more of them, that simple.

its called the common denominator, its what is socially acceptable and normal.

as the Westernisation of India continues, people will wonder why certain folks keep to old Indian traditions. That is normal.

I think its more of this mindset among people of trying to mingle in and assimilate rather than sticking out !

most people are, SIkh women, Sikh men...

Although I acknowledge the realism in your post, is that what we as a Sikh society has come to, we need adverts and role models over the truth?

Will the question then be to people:-
Why did you become/stay a Sikh, because of the GAP advert?

It is evident that Sikh girls like educated and office going boys irrespective of their religion. I am sure the Sikh girls would prefer educated and office going Sikh boys if available. But most of the college going Sikh boys are on drug and like to spend college life as a source of entertainments rather than looking for right type of education to enter into better position in the society.

Lets not blame everything on sikh men lol . Sikh men are not the only ones to develop sikh society . Infact saying so amounts to sexism. Remember, it was Mata Sahib Kaur who added "pataase"(sugar cakes) to the plain water that Guru Gobind Singh ji was going to make into amrit.
She added sweetness to Sikhism ! So why then can't we expect sikh women also to add some "sweetness" to image of sikh men by launching a full-blown PR campaign for sikh men.
I have been called "bearded bear" , "Why the f**k are u so hairy?" , "Can't see ur face becoz half of it covered by turban and other half by beard" comments by a south indian in my office,
YUP ! an indian !

how does that go with you ? the kind of things the hindus keep saying behind our backs ! And it was ironic because he worshipped shiva who himself keeps a long matted hair on his head .
We need more fashion shoots for bearded (not trimmed hopefully but tied properly) sikh men!

That american guy, Ahluwalia has already done it

Yes that might be tha reason. But in reality college going Sikh Guys are not on drugs and many are sincere and focused on life like myself and many other friends of mine.

But Here in Delhi, Punjab and Chandigarh, Bihari Hindus come to study and work as they do not have proper facilities and guidance in Bihar and many Sikh girls are dating and marrying these Bihari Hindu Guys even though there are many Sikh Guys around.

I don't know why you guys are even entertaining this troll. Every Punjabi song I have heard over the last few years in particular has glorified Sardari and the uniqueness of the rural Punjabi-Sikh culture and lifestyle. Almost every Punjabi I know, male or female, loves these songs. Diljit Dosajh is arguably the biggest superstar in Punjabi cinema right now, wears a Pagh and is a Sikh. My university had a large population of foreign students on study visas from Punjab. I didn't know a single girl from Punjab who dated anyone except a guy from Punjab, to the point where they didn't even date the Punjabi guys born here.

"We all know That Sikh Girls want to Date and Marry Only Hindu Guys and Sikh Girls Do not Want to Date and Marry Sikh Guys,"

Lol guys, don't feed the troll.

Guys like Diljit Dosanjh have no or very thin beard. They are in great demand. Even non sikh women love them .The problem is for guys that don't trim beard and many have thick beard covering their face.

Do you mean to say Punjabi girls? "Sikh girls" requires a definition, I don't think everyone has the same understanding of what that means.

So true AoG . We sikhs have so much mixed the lewd punjabi culture with pristine sikh culture, we can barely differentiate between the two !

Punjabi culture is lewd, oppressive, dare I say vulgar and disrespectful towards others (See how punjabis treat biharis)
Sikh culture is none of that

There is definitely a stark contrast between punjabi culture, and Sikhism! Not all of it is bad, however, there is a degree of rigid "old school" type of thinking within the culture.

Its very interesting to study such things. History, values of other cultures and religions, and colonialism have all leaked into Punjabi culture/modern day idea of Sikhism, and totally distorted what it is perhaps supposed to be all about.

This is a mere tirade to downgrade Sikh ethos. There is nothing like this otherwise; may be a case or two which is exaggerated.

I don't agree with the ones who say that sikh guys with untrimmed beard have it harder to pass as a model with good looks
It might have been true in the days of 'clean shaven' fashion trend
but nowadays in india, almost every young guy sports a beard, sometimes big beards and they look cute !
So being a sardar and being fashionable is easier now than before

Its unfortunate though that only when media and the fashion industry "approve" of something, does it become more acceptable.

This is true for Guys which have naturally thin beard. The one which have big bush beards cover their major part of face still don't qualify as trend

lol, many sikh girls from the villages come from conservative families, so dating is a no-no. When they are in colleges, then they aren't dating in the Western context, more like having fun or on many occasions taking advantage/ being taken advantage of in the name of love.
