Jatehdar Akal Takht speaks against female foeticide

Jathedar Akal Takht (Highest Sikh Temporal Seat) Gyani Gurbachan Singh has asked the Sikh Community to take firm stand against female foeticide.
The Jathedar said that everybody should stand united to face menace like female foeticide and drug addiction among unemployed youths in Punjab. On his Diwali message, the Jathedar said that one should understand the meanings and guidance of holy Guru Granth Sahib in life to remain stable and balanced to lead dignified life with high character.
Asking the Punjab Government to take stern action against the accused who were found extending disrespect to Granth Sahib, he said such people must be booked under section 302 of IPC on murder charges to prevent sacrilegious acts, he added.
