Strong close knit communities benefit all in the raising of a new generation amidst a foreign culture. In the home a child’s pastoral tutelage is appropriated by the skill and proficiency of the parental union. The purpose of attending the local Gurdwara for all members is to forge ties and links with others of the community and nurture a Sikh Spirit in synergy with the western spirit the host nation has imbued within the child. And deficiency or incapacity of parental authority is fortified and compensated by attendance and examples of other strong willed Sikhs. Some communities work arduously in ensuring all Sikhs within a locality are welcomed and encouraged to attend the Gurdwara. It is in this age of Kalyug the responsibility of each aware Gianni to initiate such bonds and invite families having drifted away into a multi-culturalisation at the expense of and foregoing religious cultural kinship and ties. A concerted task force and effort must be facilitated to ensure parents, families and youngsters receive all possible support from caring community and society members.
