Brother Onam ji,

I think the issue is defining what God is. If we are to say that God is a father-figure, in the Abrahamic sense, then I would say there is no God.

Many consider themselves to be atheists because they don't believe in the religion of their upbringing, and perhaps this has made them jaded to the institution of religion in general.

Although professed atheists, they do believe in an "energy" that connects the universe. Even science cannot dispute this. I think that is why atheists are drawn to Sikhi.

Labeling Sikhi as a theology, places it in the same group as other world religions. I think it is more of a philosophy, which deals in absolute truths that can be realized through a Socratic Method style of questioning. In this way, I see Sikhi more along the lines of early Greek Philosophy, which also sought to elicit social change in a society steeped in superstition and hypocrisy. A society, which coincidentally had their own pantheon of Gods.
