You know, I just thought of a possible example of how art could imitate art without a descent into ego. Do you recall when Waris Singh played the part of nature photographer in "The Life Aquatic?" Just about very major character in the film was a buffoon of some kind or another except Waris. He was silent throughout the film, listening to the sounds of the natural and the unnatural no doubt. But then in the Jacques Cousteau films the photographers never do talk. Of course, there was one unfortunate moment when he was photographing an underwater scene without keski and his hair was floating all over the place. I guess that could be modified in some way in the superhero version.
