Probably for the first time in history, FootyFM broadcasted live commentary of the 2013 Toyota AFL Grand Final in 10 languages. 20 amateur commentators were selected who bunkered down at ‘FootifyFM Headquarters’ to call the most anticipated match of the year in their native tongue.
The broadcast languages were Arabic, Croatian, French, Japanese, Madarin, Spanish, German, Greek, Punjabi and Turkish on 10 seperate streams.
The Punjabi commentators were Harbir Singh Kang and Gurtej Singh who captured the audience with their witty commentary in the vernacular language.
