I have an Amritdhari Sikh friend who is caught up in the whole "Mangleet" thing, which truthfully, I do not even understand what it is except that it is Hindu astrology.  Would anybody like to explain this and give me a good argument for him to completely disregard all this astrological superstitious nonsense.

(She is mangleet and he isn't.  He is convinced that when they marry, one of them will die.)
