Re: Sikh...Islam...
Dear sister,
Thanks for the reply. Sorry, but just on a fine point, I am not strictly speaking a Sufi, I am Khalsa Singh.
You are right, these are minor points, and we will have to agree to disagree.
Just remember God is also the destroyer as well as the creator, all experiences, good and bad occur under his supreme will and decision.
Re bliss, or Anand, I have experienced, whilst singing Anand Sahb in Guru Ji's ordained raag, Ramkaali - which actually invokes Anand, through a beautiful and mystic combination and acceptance of, the holy Guru's words and the music, one feels Anand mentally, physically and spiritually.
The feeling is very different from being cheerful, it is a feeling of complete contentment and peace.
Last thing, my contradictory statement is not in fact mine at all, I just repeated what is written in Maharaj, when his Saints are in pain, he is in pain. There is nothing irrational about this once one grasps that God has a transcendent & Immanent nature.
Sincere apologies if I came across as pedantic or rude, I didn't mean to be.
Re the excerpt I posted in my previous post, that is in fact the translation of the Jesuit Priests eye witness account.
Thanks.
