Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa put on a turban and welcomed 15,000 Sikhs as they celebrated a major religious holiday Sunday at the Los Angeles Convention Center. More than 15,000 adherents to the religion and culture of Sikhism celebrated a major holiday called Baisakhi at the Los Angeles celebration, billed as the largest in the United States.
