ਪੰਜਾਂ ਪਿਆਰਿਆਂ, ਚੋਹਾਂ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ,
Panjaan piaariaan, chauhaan sahibzaadi-aan,
The five beloved ones; the four sons;

ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਮੁਕਤਿਆਂ, ਹਠੀਆਂ,
Chaalee-aan mukhti-aan, hathee-aan,
The forty martyrs; the steadfast;

ਜਪੀਆਂ, ਤਪੀਆਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ,
Japee-aan, tapee-aan, jinaan Naam japiaa,
The chanters; the devotees; those steeped in Naam;

ਵੰਡ ਛਕਿਆ, ਦੇਗ ਚਲਾਈ, ਤੇਗ ਵਾਹੀ,
Vand chhakiaa, deg chalaa-e, teg vaahee,
Who shared their fare; ran free kitchens; wielded their swords;

ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਅਣਡਿੱਠ ਕੀਤਾ, ਤਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਿਆਰਿਆਂ,
Daykh kay an-dhi-th keetaa, tinhaan piaariaan,
and overlooked others shortcomings; All those pure

ਸਚਿਆਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰ ਕੇ,
Sachiaari-aan dee kamaaee, daa dhiaan dhar kay
and truly devoted ones; remember and reflect upon their righteous deeds,
