Kanwaljit Singh ji thanks for your original post. In reference to the above I believe Sikhs need to make up their mind on couple of points. We also need to make it clear to others who may not understand or relate to Sikhism's attachment and linkages to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.Question is the following,Is Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji our living Guru?If Yes then the next pointIf No then I assume all respect and sanctity as shown towards Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji has to stop!Let us start acting like the sect starting with letter "N" and start treating it like just a book!Just thinking aloud and not to be dis-respectfulIf the answer is yes then let us compare it to a persona of one of the Guru ji's,Someone desecrates and damages Guru Nanak Dev ji. We are supposed to just stand there and watch in case there is a label put on us.OR we out of respect and love for our Guru ji protect them even to the point of eliminating danger or person doing so to Guru jiWhereas violence is never the preferred answer, all people take actions as they see fit even at the risks of their own lives. Such acts are justified in some people's minds and are never justified in others. That is what makes all of us different. Arm chair coaching and commentary in such situations is as useful as nipples on a bull! What you think!peacesignSat Sri Akal.
