If a family (both grandparents from both mom and dad) has a history of landowning and business construction owning, with their surname being a Tarkhan name. Is their caste still Tarkhan despite their occupation?

Also, is Gill a Tarkhan name?

I do not believe in caste, but something came up, and I require info on this matter.

Thank you.

Sat Sri Akaal,

Labeling humans is primitive practice, Once ONE is Sikh all labels are gone, it is unique identity. No labels are applicable for Sikh.

Rest is Manmat practiced, but practitioner Sikh has no label for fellow humans.

Even Sikh label needs a check or watch on action to redeem its identity, any soul claiming to be Sikh and believes in human labels, Identity or education is fake.

Sikhism believes, all are from ONE spiritual source, and are not different at soul level, different is training of Mind.
