Just a little detour:-  The 'consciousness' reference you're talking about [USER=22037]@RicktheSikh[/USER] on page 30 doesn't actually say 'higher consciousness' anywhere in the original Gurmukhi.  It is the translator's (Dr Khalsa's) interpretation.  Bhai Manmohan Singh's translation of that tuk (sentence) says 'fourth state of celestial beatitude' (blessedness).
