There are 43 total such words appearing 7042 times. I have taken the top 10 which represent 6929 occurrences of these or 98 % of the total.
This is out of curiosity from another thread. I used Dr. Thind's word catalog of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji words and looked up top 10 words that embed ਗੁਰ/ Gur and tried to list our key Gurbani lines as well as reference to complete Shabads. These 10 represent about 98% usage of the ਗੁਰ/ Gur complex in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Written by Guru ji, who address their creator as Guru (for us our Guru ji's Guru) there may be some confusion. But once one overcomes this, it is fascinating to note the greatest emphasis for relationship of wisdom, guidance, love and respect with the creator.
Probably not a bad idea to set objective to fully understand these words and how these impact our living in consonance with the creator, the Sikhi way. Some baby steps towards learning forever more.
