Can any one please read the plaque above and translate it for me. I cannot read Gurmukhi and the plaque is in Gurmukhi. It is installed in Gurudwara Amr Shah Singh at Jhanda Ram Street, Dera Ismail Khan, Pakistan.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Our bodies are made up of mostly water - 65-90% of each cell in our body is water. It is such an important element that exists in gods domain.
I came across this...
"...The earliest reference to the Sikhs by any European has come to us in a letter of Sep.25, 1606 of Father Jerome Xavier [a Catholic priest] written from Lahore to the Jesuits Provincial Supervisor of Goa. In this letter he talks about Guru Arjan's holy and saintly personality who enjoyed...
Hi folks I was recently e-mail an interesting question and answer document based on the Guru Granth Sahib ji. Iread it and thought it is an excellent example for me to illustrate how Bani can be manipulated:

Following is the link of Katha by Giani Thakur singh ji. It is divided in small files of 20 to 25 minutes. Total Katha runs for about 600 hours. I have listened to it some time back. You may also like to take the benefit. One may down load the files as well as I had done. If the link does not...
My dear Sikh brothers and sisters :-)
I am currently reading through the Guru Granth Sahib and learning about the lives and teachings of the Gurus. I have read parts of the Granth before, in my general study of religious scriptures, but I'm trying to delve more deeply into the faith and really...
My behaviour over the last few weeks is vexing me, it is causing me concern.
I did not join this forum to correct others, or impose my view of Sikhism on another, I did not join to discover answers to my own questions and then force others to accept my answers, yet I increasingly find my...
Our Guru ji were of Hindu lineage. They discovered and wanted to create a future beyond Hinduism. That future in brevity has come to be known as Sikhism.
In Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Guru ji and other writers shattered so many myths of Hiduism, spoke up against ill direction provided by the...

I found this text fascinating. It’s an extract from an old rehatnama which is commonly referred to as the Chaupa Singh rehatnama today. The form is which this document reaches us today is not without its own complexities (like many/most Sikh manuscripts of older provenance). The stark...

There seems to be a image circulating internet these days claiming to be a portrait of Guru Nanak. Does anybody has any concrete information about its origin?

Sat Sri Akal!
I present for your reference the second paragraph of standard SGPC Ardaas:
'... Then of Guru Angad, Amardas and Ramdas - may they be our rescuers!'
'... Think then of Teg Cahadar, remembrance of whom brings all nine treasures. He comes to rescue everywhere. Then...
