Smoke rose from Beirut’s southern suburbs Saturday after the area was pummeled by heavy airstrikes that Israel said killed multiple Hezbollah commanders, including leader Hassan Nasraullah. The Lebanese militant group of its longtime leader, whose killing could dramatically reshape conflicts across the Middle East. Attacks on Hezbollah by fighter jets continued Saturday after the army said it told residents to evacuate three buildings it was targeting, as Israel braced for Hezbollah’s response.

Hours before the strikes, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed UN, vowing that Israel campaign against Hezbollah would continue further dimming hopes for an internationally backed ceasefire.. Netanyahu abruptly cut his United States visit short and returned to Israel.
More than 1,000 people have been killed in Lebanon since the conflict escalated less than two weeks ago, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry.
The United Nations says the number of those displaced by the conflict from southern Lebanon has more than doubled and now stands at more than 211,000. At least 20 primary healthcare centers have shut down in hard-hit areas of Lebanon, the U.N. Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said.

Iran’s supreme leader has said the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah "will not go unavenged", a day after he was killed in an Israeli air strike in Lebanon.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei announced five days of mourning in Iran in response to what he called the "martyrdom of the great Nasrallah", describing him as "a path and a school of thought" that would continue.
Iranian media reported that a Iranian Revolutionary Guards general was also killed in the Israeli strikes in Beirut on Friday.
Israel’s military said Nasrallah had "the blood of thousands... on his hands", and that it targeted him while he was "commanding more imminent attacks".

There are fears that the strike could plunge the wider region into war, after nearly a year of cross-border fighting between Israel and Hezbollah sparked by the 7 October attacks and war in the Gaza Strip.
Key to what happens next in the Middle East is what Ayatollah Khamenei decides.
So far, he and other senior Iranian figures have refrained from vowing to retaliate for the series of severe and humiliating blows that Israel has dealt Hezbollah in recent weeks, seemingly because Iran does not want a war with its arch-enemy.
Iran also has not carried out its threat to avenge the assassination's of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran in July. In this strike along with Hezbollah Chief and 7 other top commander who all were in a meeting, Iran's top commander has also been killed., which Iran and Hamas blamed on Israel.
Both Hezbollah and Hamas are designated as terrorist organizations by Israel, the US, UK and other countries.
Earlier on Saturday, Ayatollah Khamenei urged Muslims to stand by Hezbollah "with their resources and help" but did not promise to retaliate for the strike that killed Nasrallah.
"The fate of this region will be determined by the forces of resistance, with Hezbollah at the forefront," he said.
Reuters news agency meanwhile cited two regional officials as saying that the supreme leader had been transferred to a secure location inside Iran with heightened security measures. They also said Iran was in constant contact with Hezbollah and other allies to determine their next steps, according to the report.

Israel has now bombed 7 targets in Yamen. Russia has condemned the targets and threatened that these attacks will be avenged.

Is world War closing on to us? probably but not yet surely. It certainly has spread in Middle east where Israel Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Iran already in thick of it aided Israel by European countries and USA and Iran and its subsidiaries by Russia and China. Open threats have not onoy from Israel but also from Iran, USA, Russia and China about escalation of the war. Israel thinks that it can destroy, Lebanon, Palestine, Yeman, Syria and even Iran. For all these rring countries human values have no meanings. Killing of top leaders has become a priority where Mossad's secret planning for killing top leaders has become effective. Since most of Hezbollah and Hamas's most of the top echelons have been eliminated and even some of the top echelons of Iran have been killed, even Khomeini is also searching fo a secret places to hide away from Mossad's eyes. The two volleys of volley of supersonic missiles by Iran on Isral does not appear to have case enough damage to bring them to a table. Netanyahu increasing demand forst to eliminate Hamas, later Hezbollah and Houthis and now Iran; shows his increasing hunger for winning through elimination and destruction. Blind support of Israel with billions of dollars and most modern weapons by USA has made him a ruthless marauder. UN resolutions have no meaning when the Security council is unbalanced with its reins in two opposing powers which do not allow peace. They themselves are now involved in attacking their neighbors; Russia engaged with Ukraine, China with Taiwan and USA and European conglomerate. Every step of theirs is towards using Atomic and electronic warfare for total destruction which will b much more than the third world war as the destruction expected to be colossal at global level. Will there ever be peace. Voices of India and a few other countries are not being heard in the continuously resounding war bugles. Peace does not apeear to have a chance under these circumstances. War will continue how far? Only God or Gods of war know whether may it be West Asia war or a global war is yet to be seen. The amount of children, ladies and infirm are either blown of by bombs, or eaten up by hunger and want has become colosal already. Seeing so many vulchers and buchers all-round does not shame the world at all.

As Israel has opened many fronts including Lebanon, Syria, Iran and Yamen with active support from US and Europe things appear to be going out of its hands with unexpected losses from retaliatory engagements by Lebanon, Iran, Hamas and Yemen. A Wider War in the Middle East, From Hamas to Hezbollah and Now Iran may further escalate. The main questions now are how much the conflict will escalate and whether the United States will get more directly involved in the defense of Israel. With threats from Russia and China of uncontrolable consequences too has worried US, West and Israel.
Hezbollah says it killed 17 Israeli soldiers in clashes along the border, after earlier announcing it had detonated a bomb against troops attempting to enter the village of Maroun al-Ras.
An Israeli air strike targeted a residential apartment in the Chiya neighbourhood of the Lebanese capital, after strikes last night on central and southern Beirut killed at least nine people.
In the occupied West Bank, Israeli fighter planes have killed at least 18 people in a strike on a crowded cafe in Tulkarem refugee camp.
Iran sent a message to the US via Qatar saying that it does not seek regional war but adding that “the phase of unilateral self-restraint has ended”. It also warned that any Israeli attack would be met with an “unconventional response” that includes targeting Israeli infrastructure.
Israel intensifies attacks on Gaza, killing dozens of Palestinians in separate strikes over the past 48 hours.
In Gaza, at least 41,788 people have been killed and 96,794 injured in Israelis attacks since October 2023. In Israel, at least 1,139 people were killed in the Hamas-led attacks on October 7 and more than 200 people were taken captive.
Iran has unleashed its largest ever attack on Israel, firing 180 ballistic missiles late Tuesday most of which were apparently intercepted by anti-missile defenses employed by Israel, the United States and Jordan, according to those countries’ governments.

The aerial assault, far more serious than a similar strike in April, has raised the stakes in what is already an extremely tense moment across the Middle East as a dangerous regional conflict spirals.
Here’s a look at Iran’s ballistic missile capabilities and the defensive systems employed by Israeli and other forces in the region.
Tehran has thousands of ballistic and cruise missiles with a variety of ranges, according to a 2021 report from the Missile Threat Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).
Exact numbers for each type of missile are unknown. But US Air Force Gen. Kenneth McKenzie told Congress in 2023 that Iran had “over 3,000” ballistic missiles, according to a report this year from the Iran Watch website at the Wisconsin Project on Nuclear Arms Control.
Ballistic missiles’ trajectories carry them outside or near the limits of Earth’s atmosphere, before the warhead payload separates from the rocket that carried it aloft and plunges back into the atmosphere and onto its target.
