To Guru Jee we offered our Head
Because through Akaal Purkh, by the hand, we were lead
To become a sacrifice to our Beloved, we said
So we can walk this earth alive yet dead
We love you Guru Gobind Singh Jee
Please, I beg, abide with me
Don’t allow me to follow and bow to Society
Not even out of politeness or propriety
Because through Akaal Purkh, by the hand, we were lead
To become a sacrifice to our Beloved, we said
So we can walk this earth alive yet dead
We love you Guru Gobind Singh Jee
Please, I beg, abide with me
Don’t allow me to follow and bow to Society
Not even out of politeness or propriety
Let us stand tall with our Turban
We don’t care about trends bling or urbanOur Dastar is our Crown
It reminds us to keep our ego down
It gives us the status of a royal Highness
It keeps our kesh from becoming a tangled mess
Guru Ji blessed us with our beautiful long tresses
Each time the wind blows, He runs His hand through our hair, each single one He protects and

Without a turban there is no Kaur or Singh
Just as without a crown there is no Queen or King
Our turbans bless us with a status so High
Mixtures of blue, black, orange and white extend beyond into the sky
Wow, people comment, they look so radiant
The appearance of the Sikh is God Himself, so Magnificent
We have been blessed with Guru jee’s beautiful Form
We have something so special; we don’t belong to the norm
Please do upon your head the turban adorn
Give yourself to Guru Jee and as His child be re-born
Our turbans bless us with a status so High

Be Proud
Let your Dastar shout out loud
Don’t be a follower, lead the crowdLet your Dastar shout out loud
