Ninth Guru Teg Bahadar ji, He besides cultivating the humanitarian values and making supreme sacrifice for the sake of others, declared that for a noble living it is quite necessary that one should not frighten anybody, nor should submit to anybody’s fear. He advised his followers to unite with God by living a noble life and discarding the evils of falsehood, deceit, sham and ego. Guru Teg Bahadar martyred himself for the protection of Hindu religion and set an unparallel example of sacrifice for the cause of righteousness and standing strongly against the oppression of a bigot. That was the only way to eradicate the fear of death from the minds of Hindus and to make them strong enough to be able to protect their faith and lives.
Guru’s only son Gobind Rai (later on renamed as Guru Gobind Singh, when baptized), who was barely nine years old, when occupied the spiritual throne of guru Nanak and he made up his mind to fulfill his mission of raising such a strong nation which could teach a lesson to tyrants and could serve with utmost devotion and dedication to the poor and suffering class. He had explicitly narrated in his autobiography known as Bachitar Natak that God has installed him to the status of his son and ordained for the creation of Khalsa Panth for the protection of righteousness and destruction of wickedness and cruelty. On the other hand by then the Sikh Guru preceding Guru Gobind Singh ji had already made their Sikhs proficient and steady in judging what to do and what not to do in life, which briefly is as follows :
What the Sikhs should do :
1)- Every Sikh should worship only one Timeless being– Akal Purakh. For him the teachings of ten Gurus, the baani of Guru Granth Sahib ji be the savior words. He should regard ten Gurus as one light and one single entity.
2)- Every Sikh should respect all religions but have deep, unbounded faith in his own religion.
3)- Every Sikh should learn Punjabi in Gurmukhi script to enjoy the recitation of Guru Granth Sahib Ji or Gurbani in original language and keep himself nearer his culture and heritage.
4)- Every Sikh should always practice ;

Naam Japna : (meditation on holy naam of one God), Kirat karma (earn one’s bread by honest living). Wand chakna (sharing one’s earning with the needy).
Honest work and deeds, worship and charity, sharing and caring, selfless service and meditation are the main pillars of Sikh way of life.
A Sikh thus belongs to a race of straight forward persons of action and emotions, sympathy and love, loving truth and truthful living.
What not to do;
1)- Simple living and high thinking should be his guide words.
2)- Sikh should never steal, beg or gamble.
3)- Sikh should regard poor man’s mouth as the cash chest (till) of the Guru.
4)- The Sikh should not differentiate in between his son and daughter and equality be used to rearing them up.
5)- Every Sikh should always observe the rules of Sikh code of conduct and conventions from cradle to cremation.
6)- Sikhs are casteless people and they should go to wedlock with union of souls, one soul two bodies. This sanctity makes the marriage.
7)- The Sikh should not marry a second wife if his first wife is alive. This is against the law of the land also.
8)- The Sikh should never dis-respect hairs, but always keep his/her hairs covered
10)- The Sikh should not discriminate while doing service to humanity. He should serve all equally without thinking of one’sreligion, caste, color or creed.

Message of Guru to his Khalsa;
“ You are the immortal soldiers of true dharma and the messengers of God. This country’s honor and liberty is entrusted to you by Waheguru. Mix freely with the world, but remain of one soul, one ideal and one aim.”Women shall be equal of men in every walk of life and their names would bear the epithet ‘KAUR’ meaning princess. He who kills his daughter, the Khalsa will snap ties with him. By doing so guru ji also once again added respectability to the women folk. You will keep unshorn hair to look like ancient sages. You will love the weapons of war and become excellent horsemen, marksmen, sportsmen and wielders of swords and spears. Physical prowess will be as sacred to you as spiritual sensitiveness. Five freedoms ;
According to the Guru a person who is baptized completely cut off from his social past in which he had been living before being baptized.. Such a person enjoys five freedoms;
1)- The total freedom from the tenets of his previous religion i.e. Dharam nash,
2)- He becomes free from his earlier deeds i.e. Karam Nash,
3)- He snaps his ties of his caste, race, clan, or heritage i.e. Kul nash,———now onwards, his father is Guru Gobind Singh, mother of khalsa is Sahib kaur and his place of birth is Anandpur Sahib.
4)- He is absolutely free from taboos, customs and rituals in which he was engrossed before baptism i.e. Bharam Nash,
5)- Finally he is free from all vocational distinctions i.e. Sharam Nash—-He developes this notion that his liberation is possible during his life by serving humanity and meditating on naam i.e. God’s name. he becomes saint and soldier simultaneously when he joins Khalsa brotherhood.

I may inform you my people presented a formula according to your suggestion in 1982. It was called Anandpur resolution which demanded the same but Indian govt refused.
India instead of agreeing on Federal Republic of India, it started persecute Sikhs and planned to invade holy Darbar Sahib (Golden temple) in mid 82. India invaded Darbar Sahib in June84 and killed nearly 15000 stranded Sikh pilgrims inside its complex.
