Should non Sikhs attending gurdwara be asked to do matha tek where there is prakash of SGGS Ji. For example at an Anand Karaj. It is common to invite friends who have no interest in Sikhism. Many attend the Anand Karaj, walk into the hall and simply sit without any matha tek.

Doing Matha Tek is good. It shows humility to the Guru. The Gyan is the Guru and the Guru is the Gyan, the Guru sits in every single Gurudwara.

As Sikhs we all do matha tek. That is not up for debate.
The troubling part happens when see the walk-ins who do not do matha tek. I know we raise our eyebrows when we see this happening. There are some gurdwaras that have posters highlighting the proper decorum of attending gurdwara. Is it valid to remind the walk-ins about the etiquette.
I am afraid that our youngsters might feel it is ok to be casual and just sit in sangat without doing matha tek because they see others doing exactly that.
