My name is Gregory Merrill. No Sikh name as yet, as I have not been baptized. Lot's of experience with things Indian, but little with Sikhism proper. I have been going to Gurdwara here in Texas, USA, for a few months now, and am doing lots of research, reading, and soul-searching. Would like to connect with fellow Sikhs, especially those who still have an independent, martial spirit who entrust all to God Almighty Ik Onkaar Sat Naam, and are not running to the duplicitous dems or repubs or the unelected EU fatcats for legitimacy and immigrant welfare handouts.
I used to be involved with the Radha Soami 'living guru' cult. That's on me. But if anyone is on the fence on that issue, then contact me and I can help you get out NOW, and point you to a lot of online resources that will get you back on the good foot with the true Gurus, the true Bani, and the Eternal Lord. They're is a lot of historical and crazy insider stuff on that group that most satsangis don't know about.
On a humorous note, it seems like 2017 was a bad year for sikh fake gurus, as Gurinder in Beas has not only turned more and more into a money-grubbing Punjabi politico, but also has changed the "sant mat" teachings of his forbears into who knows what. Old disciples report they cannot believe their ears! (And most all of the other Radha Soami lineages from Soami Ji of Agra have already died out decades ago.)
Moreover, the old namdharis have just lost their aged guru, and he appointed no successor. Awkward! And the smaller group of canadian/american Sikhs surrounding 'Baba Ji' ({url not allowed}) has just recently disbanded due to the fact the the 'guru' and his appointed successor have openly confessed to not being, well, gurus. Too bad the website creator just took down his long post explaining the whole mess. It was sad but strangely entertaining...
