I am a 58 year old American woman who has been marrried to her Punjabi Sikh husband for 40 years. We have three children (2 boys and a girl) who have all "left the nest". I am an attorney in private practice in San Jose California. I do Immigration, civil litigation and family law. I have helped many Punjabis and others with their immigration issues (naturalization, visas, adjustment of status, deportation defence, asylum, etc.) and have appeared in Immigration Courts all over the US. I have raveled to the New Delhi consulate to solve visa issues. I am fluent in Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu and French. I enjoy needlework and traveling with my husband. I have been to India many times (including Harimandir Sahib and many Gurdwaras). I hope to visit Hemkunt Sahib in the next few years.

Hello,
I'm futurekaur, living near Durham, North Carolina. I lived in Ireland for a while too. I was going to visit the Gurdwara there but moved here, where there is a Gurudwara nearby.
I was interested in Sikh religion many years ago but there wasn't all the helpful materials today, with the internet & forums, so I'm older in my 40's, it seems most converts are in their 20s. Maybe I'm wrong & anyway it's nice to talk with others and learn.

Sat Sri Aklal To Everyone,
i came to this site by a search engine by google i was searching gurmantar's views what people have to say and end up meeting you all good people.
i read the posts by RAJs:}8-: who was a ex-sikh and happy to know you guys put some helthy and knowledgeable logics in your posts .
i think it's good to know about other religions not that comparing which one is better but atleast to deal with the people like RAJs when they think some religions are better than other ones .
i think the religions is a study of your own does not matter which language is the religion is,first you have to know yourself and then go even beyond what is the reason of your own existance and that is waheguru or god or whatever youcall it but basic principle is to know the defference between WHOLE andd PART as we are all parts and when we are dealing with other people they are also a PART of the WHOLE and with SANGAT or company, we learn a lot .
:roll:I am happy to be here and will learn from the samgat
