I see the author of this blog, like many other well-informed Sikhs" express disdain with chanting of Wahe Guru or any other word. It is viewed as a useless exercise. Is it truly a useless exercise., I often wonder?
Many modern interpetations of Gurbani is usage of left- brain -structured i.e pure logic and reason .But intuitively (a right brain function) we know that that is not enough to achieve happiness ,freedom and realisation of Creator within - our real desires.

Einstein had it right when he said 'The intuitive mind is a sacred gift, the rational mind is a faithful servant'. To many the servant is now in charge.

There are infinite number of truths that we can't get it through reason.

The point of discussion should be What Gurbani says about repetition or chanting?

What Gurmat says on this issue?
It is not a simple question, conflicting perspectives have made it a very complex issue. As the saying goes: "For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong "

I am working on it and will share my perspective whatever worth it may be.
Guru Fetah.
