Ḏenhār parabẖ cẖẖod kai lāgėh ān su▫ā▫e. Nānak kahū na sījẖ▫ī bin nāvai paṯ jā▫e. ||1||
Leaving the creator that bestows, is busy in other selfishness. Nanak, such can never achieve success as without the creator there is no honor.
Asatpaḏī.
Eight stanzas hymn
Anik bẖāṯ mā▫i▫ā ke heṯ. Sarpar hovaṯ jān aneṯ.
Many a varieties of attachments to worldly possessions. Remember these are all destructible in the end.
Birakẖ kī cẖẖā▫i▫ā si▫o rang lāvai. Oh binsai uho man pacẖẖuṯāvai.
One loves the shade of a tree. .When such ends, one so regrets
Jo ḏīsai so cẖālanhār. Lapat rahi▫o ṯah anḏẖ anḏẖār.
What is seen, so is destructible. The most blind of all blind, clings to such.
Batā▫ū si▫o jo lāvai neh. Ŧā ka▫o hāth na āvai keh.
One who creates attachment with another one along the way. In such hands nothing tangible is held.
Man har ke nām kī parīṯ sukẖ▫ḏā▫ī. Kar kirpā Nānak āp la▫e lā▫ī. ||3||
The love of creator’s understanding is of comfort. Nanak, such is received through creator’s blessing.

Please note all errors are mine and I stand corrected.ESSENCE: In the salok, Guru ji state that ones busy collecting worldly goods should reflect. The accomplishments are incomplete without honor. The honor is there in association of one with the creator in all.
Guru Arjan Dev ji in Astpadi 5, 3rd cite attachments to possessions and what we are surrounded with otherwise. The comforts or attachments are so tempting that even most blind of blind attaches.
Guru ji state that what ever one sees is destructible over time. One’s understanding and relationship with the creator lasts.
