Thanks for summing up the vitamin/protein issues. One thing to add -- for women, pantothenic acid which is part of the B complex -- and when missing can cause issues.

you can get it from legumes and cereals and stuff if your are vegetarian. you need about 4-5 mg a day...pregnant women usually need more. but deficiency's are exceptionally rare and usually only seen in the profoundly malnourished
