Dalsingh and amarsanghera writing a graphic comic? :rofl!!:…the guy has objections to watching a little blood in pictures (hows he gonna handle a blood soaked superhero?)
In all likelihood he probably calls garbage men…sanitation engineers (you really want these guys to write dialogue?)

something Dark and Gritty? L.o.L you cuddly rabbits are definitely gonna need my help

Me, a cuddly rabbit........

If you knew me, you'd laugh at your own stupidity as I am....

But you do have a point. Mr. Sanghera...there will be violent scenes in the comic worse than the jhatka thing....would you let your kids view stuff like that?? lol

Oh god, I rest my case :shy:

you are right though…he need not kill,
He can capture his enemies with a golden lasso, rehabilitate and care for them in a penitentiary, providing villains the motherly love they never received during their agonizing childhood. :{;o:

cheers:p

HEY!!! that cuddly LIONS to you mister!!

First, you always start off with character development…then the plot (unless you want to make it on some historical character…which, according to my opinion is boring and unoriginal to start with)
Ya I find it boring too. :}{}{}: But hey if its historical, we can directly teach the youth about history, in an interesting way.

You usually design the plot/settings around the character…not the other way around

Every GOOD comic-book character must possess
- A Perversion
- A Bad habit
- A Weakness
- A Fear
- A Strength
- A Lie
- A Motivational/Aspirational event
- Witt
- And a serious bad-*** attitude…not just a look (or else you end up with something like "the adventures of Tintin")
Hmm... makes sense.
You guys couldn’t write a decent porno plot, let alone a graphic comic, without me.:{;o:
well, you are our pornographical and nonsensical touchist.
oh did I say pornographical? I meant philosophical...:shifty:
Wakka Chikka Wakka Chikka -- Poun Poun!
WAkka Chikka Wakka Chikka - Poun Poun to you too sir.

I offer my services as a “guidance councilor”
And yes, its because im lazy
Ya thanks.... :}:):
You do have good ideas though. I have been talking about a Sikh mass murderer as a potential character with a gora friend/boss of mine.

here is a plot

A brave sikh assasin rises up and slays Corrupt blood sucking SGPC and Akali politicians

-promotes sikhi ... and is dark and gritty at the same time :D

of co{censored} you wouldnt use "akali politicians" per se...but rather satirical equivalents
Brakash Singh Padal ...will be the villain ;)
Start writing then, what are you waiting for?

<< brave Sikh assasin rises up and slays Corrupt blood sucking SGPC and Akali politicians>>

nah

i see the person more of a manipulator of minds :)

he manipulates Mr. padal to achieve his end and bring doom to the corrupt.

what does doom mean?

- they get powerless and fall in line

You know anyone better?

Yeah....you!

all famous comic artists also started off as great writers! (Dave {censored}rum, John Cassaday, Steve Ditko, Stan Lee and Frank Miller)

(shouldn't be to hard...you can probably write better than me)
I can give you ideas and of co{censored} clues on how to write...just pm me if you need help on language...id be delighted to write something...but you know how life is...busy busy busy...I am also trying to get something published (work related...not liesure literature)...I dont write comics:(...I wish I did...I'll ask around though, A couple of my buddies are into this stuff (but only if your dead serious about this)...Where are you from?

My recomendation:
comics are always best when artists and writing are done by the same person...sometimes images existing in the artists head create the necessary language

ANd this way
the artist imagines the characters the same as how the writer describes them...because they are the same person:yes:
nothing is lost in translation...its pure

I like your drawings...you got talent
no better time to build another talent....writing!

I dunno about a mass murderer? are you talking about something like 'Johnny the Homicidal Maniac' or 'everything can be beaten' type of comic?...lol... i am not too fond of extremely dark humour

I am thinking on the lines of V for Vendetta/ Robin Hood/ Bond/ Hitman...maybe with a 'shady' punjab backdrop.

you know, a dark disturbed kinda guy with no big superpowers other than his expert planning, luck and keen senses.

makes for a good read...the art would be tedious though.

If you wanna go for history...then maybe these guys can help you

cheers

Bhagat Singh don't do a serial killer. We get enough negative portrayals as it is! Like it isn't bad enough for Singhs to be confused with Bin Laden supporters as it is.

Combine this with what u have in quotes and its the perfect hero.
A hero who tries to talk the villain out of it first. :)

Ya that's what I was thinking but it's gona be about redeeming oneself. How one's life changes from taking delight in murdering TO murdering to save lives.
Again, it's in the initial stages so if it's really not a good idea, We can just change the Sikh main character to a main character of another background.

Oh, I write alright. It's just that I have a hard time putting, what I picture, into words. I have started 3 projects of my own, the art you see on the websites is from those stories that I wrote (but didn't finish because I lack the skill).

I am from Canada, I live in the GTA.

Hey small world...hommie!

for all the people who are looking at the map, GTA stands for Greater Toronto Area...not...Greater Thunder-bay Area :p

i know because I was born in "Hazel's Town" aka mississauga
(i live in boston now :()

anyways,
Think of putting "pictures into words" as the reverse of putting "words into pictures"...you cant go wrong

you dont lack any skill...i'll tell you that...If you think you lack skill then what you really lack is just practice  ('non-sensical' philosophy)

cheers
