Sat Sri Akaal

I recently found some shabads that talk about the body being the paper, and the mind the inscription written upon it. This puts a totally new spin on the idea of destiny written on our foreheads.

However, I'm having trouble understanding this particular shabad, in particular what the 'three inscriptions' are, and would appreciate the sangats thoughts.

From panna 662:

Ḏẖanāsrī mėhlā 1.
Dhanaasaree, First Mehl:

Kā▫i▫ā kāgaḏ man parvāṇā.
The body is the paper, and the mind is the inscription written upon it.

Sir ke lekẖ na paṛai i▫āṇā.
The ignorant fool does not read what is written on his forehead.

Ḏargėh gẖaṛī▫ahi ṯīne lekẖ.
In the Court of the Lord, three inscriptions are recorded.

Kẖotā kām na āvai vekẖ. ||1||
Behold, the counterfeit coin is worthless there. ||1||

Nānak je vicẖ rupā ho▫e.
O Nanak, if there is silver in it,

Kẖarā kẖarā ākẖai sabẖ ko▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
then everyone proclaims, "It is genuine, it is genuine". ||1||Pause||

Kāḏī kūṛ bol mal kẖā▫e.
The Qazi tells lies and eats filth;

Barāhmaṇ nāvai jī▫ā gẖā▫e.
the Brahmin kills and then takes cleansing baths.

Jogī jugaṯ na jāṇai anḏẖ.
The Yogi is blind, and does not know the Way.

Ŧīne ojāṛe kā banḏẖ. ||2||
The three of them devise their own destruction. ||2||

So jogī jo jugaṯ pacẖẖāṇai.
He alone is a Yogi, who understands the Way.

Gur parsādī eko jāṇai.
By Guru's Grace, he knows the One Lord.

Kājī so jo ultī karai.
He alone is a Qazi, who turns away from the world,

Gur parsādī jīvaṯ marai.
and who, by Guru's Grace, remains dead while yet alive.

So barāhmaṇ jo barahm bīcẖārai.
He alone is a Brahmin, who contemplates God.

Āp ṯarai sagle kul ṯārai. ||3||
He saves himself, and saves all his generations as well. ||3||

Ḏānasbanḏ so▫ī ḏil ḏẖovai.
One who cleanses his own mind is wise.

Musalmāṇ so▫ī mal kẖovai.
One who cleanses himself of impurity is a Muslim.

Paṛi▫ā būjẖai so parvāṇ.
One who reads and understands is acceptable.

Jis sir ḏargėh kā nīsāṇ. ||4||5||7||
Upon his forehead is the Insignia of the Court of the Lord. ||4||5||7||

According to the interpretation by Dalji Singh Jawa (Vol 4 of the It is the same light book series that is available on Amazon) the three inscriptions are a combination of the three impulses of Maya (vice, virtue and power. His email is Jawa222@gmail.com. You can order the set directly through him.

Ishna ; you are godly
The Qazi tells lies and gathers filth. The Brahmin kills, then takes cleansing bath. The Yogi is blind. He does not know the way. All three of them create their own destruction.
