Sikh Reht Maryada, The Definition of Sikh, Sikh Conduct & Conventions, Sikh Religion Living, India

According to the Sikh Reht Maryada, a Sikh is defined as any male or female who faithfully:
  • believes in the existence of one eternal God
  • accepts as their only Spiritual guide as the "Guru Granth Sahib" and the ten human Gurus and follows their teachings
  • is preparing to take the baptism "Amrit Sanchar" as promoted by the tenth Guru, and
  • does not owe allegiance to any other religion.

I believe a Sikh is a seeker of spirituality as taught by Guru Nanak & his successors .A Sikh will read &try to understand Gurbani & life histoies of Gurus'.Then, practice that message in his or her daily living to seek self-transformation. Kirpal Singh
