How hard is it for anyone to understand that Jews have a right to a nation of their own?
Islam wants to eradicate the whole non Muslim humanity. The Jews are just happen to be the first target.
Hamas , Muslim Brotherhood, ISIS, Taliban, Boko Haram, Islamic Jihad, Wahabbis, Hezbollah, Deobandhis, and innumerable other Islamic groups are fighting for victory over Dar-Ul-Harb. This war has constantly raged since Muhammad's Hijra from Mecca. It amazes me that so many Sikhs resist any condemnation of this Islamic aggression even though we all know Sikh victims of this war. Do I need to remind this forum about Guru Arjan Dev ji, Guru Teg Bahadar Ji, Sahibzade, Ghallu Ghare, Sikh massacres of 1947 etc?
Before bringing their wisdom to this forum, let the participants do a little home work and research the concept of Dar-Ul-Islam versus Dar-Ul-Harb.
I like the term"Anti-Anti-Islam". It refers to those non Muslims who resist, tooth and nail, any effort to expose the unique barbarity and self-righteousness of Islam, not recognizing that when Islam comes to get the Kafirs, they will not be spared. Anti-Islam intellectuals have to enlighten the whole non Muslim humanity but a lot of their energy is sucked up butting heads with Anit-Anti-Islam do gooders.

@JPSM I think when you are reminding us of Sikh gurus while talking abt Jews having a Jewish land is very naive itself and is based on very ill informed western narrative propaganda bias.

- the history morality of Jews and Sikhs don't even come close when we compare them at humanitarian and spiritual aspects. So I think they can't be compared.

- Current leadership power of Jews deserve not even an inch of more land based how how they treat Arabs and Christians in west bank(and of course in gaza where nobody has escaped the blockade in last 16 years). In a Same way that current hindu leadership deserves no votes.

@JPSM Just to point out that barbarity of capitalist western world has dwarfed the islamic barbarity by huge margins in last one and a half century in the name of slave trade, the birth of America's by wiping out native population, East india company, WW1, WW2, Korean war, vietnam war, American invasion of Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan,Libya English provocated genocides in Africa and all the conflicts where any religion played no role in the capitalist barbarity.

It is wrong to put blame on any religion in today's barbarity when in reality it is all about controlling resources, influence and capitalism.

The Health Ministry in Gaza says the death toll has now reached 18,787 amid continued Israeli attacks.
Palestinian telecommunications firms report another blackout across the enclave, with the Palestine Red Crescent saying it lost contact with its teams. The Israeli military says it “completed” a days-long raid in Jenin in the occupied West Bank, where at least 11 people were killed and others injured. The White House says senior US official Jake Sullivan discussed moving the war to a “lower intensity” phase in talks with Israeli leaders in Tel Aviv. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanks Washington for its continued support and weapons, stressing war will not end until Hamas is eliminated. Netanyahu and Biden say two hoots to UNO's resolutions, though Biden feels that world is against their move nd even friends are moving away in this. Elimination of Monster of Hamas created and even once funded by Netanyahu may not materialise. Global pressure for ceasefire will continue. So far Houdis have sided with Hamas. Hezbollah does not appear to come in direct support as discussed with various authorities in Saudi Arab today. Iran too has not shown any direct interest in Hamas. Americans are keen to hand over the control of Gaza to West Bank Government. Netanyahu's plan of demilitarization of Hamas too may not materialize soon after the ambush of Israeli Colonel and other soldiers by Hamas.

Israeli military 'mistakenly' kills 3 hostages in Gaza
December 16, 2023 09:07

image

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) killed three of its hostages after opening fire on them, mistakenly identifying them as 'threats', Times of Israel reported citing IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari.
Hagari said the IDF bears responsibility for the "tragic incident." "This is an area where the soldiers encountered many terrorists, including suicide bombers," he added. Out of the three Israeli hostages, two have been identified as Yotam Haim, who was abducted from Kfar Aza and Samar Talalka, who was abducted from Nir Am. However, the third hostage was not named by Hagari due to requests by their family, Times of Israel reported. On being asked how the three hostages were able to escape Hamas captivity, Hagari said the military believes that "the three fled or were abandoned by the terrorists who held them captive." "After the shooting, during a scan and examination, an immediate suspicion arose regarding the identity of the dead, and their bodies were quickly transferred for examination in Israel, where the hostages were identified," the IDF spokesperson said. "This is a sad and painful event for all of us, and the IDF bears responsibility for everything that happened," he added.

This incidence has increased further anger in Israel about handling the situation by Netanyahu.

Israel-Hamas war live: Israeli strikes on Jabalia refugee camp kill 90

Mass casualties have been reported in Israeli strikes on the Jabalia and Nuseirat refugee camps as Israel continues to hit Gaza hospitals. The World Health Organization describes the situation at Gaza City’s al-Shifa Hospital as “a complete horror scene” and calls the destruction of Kamal Adwan Hospital “appalling”.
Hungry and desperate Palestinians are looting aid trucks to get water and food as desperation mounts in southern Gaza’s Rafah City. At least 18,787 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks since October 7. The revised death toll in Israel stands at nearly 1,140.

Urgent Human needed for Gazans

Impoverished enclave reels from flooding and lack of proper shelter amid downpour. Entire families living in flimsy tents and left exposed to the elements Alex Whiteman reports from London on19 December 2023. Strong winds and heavy rains in the Gaza Strip over the past week have compounded the situation for its almost 2 million internally displaced civilians, with concerns mounting over the prospects of a major epidemic being unleashed as a shattered infrastructure struggles to cope.

Even before the more than 60 days of nonstop bombing, experts had been warning that Gaza’s drainage system was no longer fit for purpose. Combined with the destruction, the heavy downpours have seen large swathes of the Palestinian enclave beset by flooding.

Describing the situation as “beyond horrible,” one source told Arab News it was “all true,” that the scale of destruction wrought had shattered the beleaguered territory’s barely coping sewerage infrastructure.

For those living in the hastily erected internal refugee camp at Rafah in the south of Gaza, the combination of wind and rain had left many even more exposed than they had been as flimsy tents found themselves flooded and torn. Speaking to Reuters news agency as he sought to repair the family’s meager protection from the elements, one displaced Palestinian, Ramadan Mohadad, said their shelter, fashioned from plywood and plastic sheeting, was “torn and water poured on us.” He added: “We tried as much as we could to protect ourselves so water would not get in, but the rain got through ... this plastic does nothing to protect people sleeping under it.”

As of Sunday, the retaliatory military offensive by Israel had killed more than 18,700 Palestinians and injured another 50,000, according to health officials in the Hamas-run territory.

As the fighting between the Israel Defense Forces and Hamas intensified in October, many Palestinians fled their homes in just the clothes they were wearing, at a time when temperatures were considerably warmer.

With the conflict now in its third month, some of them told AFP news agency they were surviving without mattresses, blankets, or anything else to keep them warm. Seeking to emphasize the level of suffering, the UN Relief and Works Agency shared a video on X in which the mother of a two-year-old sharing a tent with 24 others said their makeshift shelter did nothing to protect her son from the rain.

“He is short of breath; his chest is strained. There’s no blanket to cover him. Qamar, my niece, is one-and-a-half years old. She’s also sick. There is no medicine or treatment, and because of the cold weather she is also short of breath,” the woman added.

“We are suffering. We are 24 persons in this tent. We are cold and we have children … Rain is drenching us and there is no cover, or anything to protect us. Last night, water came inside, drowning us. We are keeping the children on the steps.”

Fikr Shalltoot, Gaza director for charity Medical Aid for Palestinians, told Arab News that along with the “severe shortages” of basic shelter materials, namely tents, tarpaulin, and plastic sheeting, the rain had affected the ability of Gaza’s displaced to eat.

“Due to the lack of cooking gas, people are using wood to cook, but with the rain this is becoming impossible for many families,” Shalltoot said.

A resident of Gaza, she had been in Egypt on Oct. 7 and has not been allowed to return. Of greater long-term concern though was the issue of waste disposal. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said sewage had been rendered “unmanageable” in the face of three simultaneous challenges: overcrowding in sites designated by Israel as safe for civilians; damage to pipelines; and flooding.

That led OCHA’s humanitarian partners to issue urgent calls for construction materials to be allowed in, with the UN body warning an “inability to provide repairs could result in water being cut off from certain areas in the south of Gaza.” Further reduction in water supplies is the last thing Gaza wants, with the UN Children’s Fund reporting in November that damaged infrastructure, fuel shortages, and restrictions on aid movements had left supplies at just 5 percent of their pre-war levels.

Nor should Gaza expect any imminent let-up, with temperatures set to fall to as low as 10 degrees Celsius in December, and potentially falling lower still in January, while its rainy season will likely persist well into February.

And that rainy season could be worse than normal, with weather stations close to the southern Gaza-Israel border having already recorded almost twice the average rainfall, heightening worries of flash flooding contaminating what little drinking water remains.

Aid agencies Arab News spoke to, including the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, said they had been left “concerned that the heavy rain and flooding that is affecting large parts of Gaza is further adding to the risk of waterborne diseases.”

Following the storms, Gaza’s health authorities had documented roughly 360,000 cases of infectious diseases in shelters, but the UN has since warned that the actual number could be much higher.

Shalltoot noted that MAP officials had reported infectious diseases to be “spreading rapidly” through the “overcrowded shelters,” echoing concerns of flash flooding presenting an “alarming risk” to human life.

She said: “Of the 360,000 cases reported, these include respiratory infections, diarrhea, scabies, and skin diseases. Children are suffering from gastroenteritis with diarrhea, and cases of both hepatitis and meningitis have been reported as well.”
Julia Roknifard, an assistant professor at the University of Nottingham’s School of Politics, History, and International Relations, said: “It’s also the issue that people have a very weakened immunity now, which is going to aggravate everything.”
Having on Dec. 12 made his third visit to Gaza since the war began, Commissioner-General of UNRWA Philippe Lazzarini said: “Every time I go back, I think it cannot get worse, but every time I witness more misery.
“What has changed compared to my last visit is that while before we had overcrowded shelters with more than 1 million people living in UN premises, on this trip when I visited a warehouse that became a shelter, we had tens of thousands of people outside.

State of diplaced Gazans: Gaza population:2.2 millions. Displaed by Dec 4: 1.9 millions. 1.2m Refugees in Gaza who access UNRWA food aid. 1.9m Refugees in Gaza who use UNRWA health services.

“The lucky ones are those who have a place inside our premises, especially now that winter has started. But the others have absolutely nowhere to go, they live in the open, they live in the cold, in the mud, and under the rain.”

And many thousands have yet to make it to the marginally safer parts of Gaza, with videos being shared on social media of a sodden young Palestinian carrying a small body wrapped in a shroud through streets flooded with knee-high waters.
The high waters have all but shut off some of the easier routes south. One Gaza resident told reporters that the already treacherous journey to refugee camps had only been made even harder, an issue also affecting those working for the enclave’s emergency services. Beside the Egypt border, Rafah has become a vast camp for the displaced, with hundreds of tents erected using wood and plastic sheets.
“We spent five days outdoors. And now the rain has flooded the tents,” Bilal Al-Qassas, a displaced resident, told AFP.
New fears are also gripping many of those that have reached camps in Rafah that Israel’s intention is to simply keep expanding the war until the fighting has engulfed the entire Gaza Strip.Inas, a 38-year-old mother of five, told Reuters she had been forced to flee four times since Oct. 7.
Now she said she was “terrified of the possibility of displacement to Egypt. That is our worst nightmare. Are they going to expand the ground war to Rafah? If that happens, where should we go? To the sea or to Sinai?”
Similarly, Yasmin Mhani told Reuters, as she hung wet clothes to dry on the tent shelter that having lost a child after an Israeli bomb struck their house and since moving five times, she was now sharing a single blanket among her remaining five family members.
Above all Israelis have not only restricted human aid but some of the Israelis soldiers have been seen in a video destroying human aid sent for Gazans. Is there no human agency which can stop this human carnage since UNO resolution has gone unheeded and UN Security Council voting for ceasefire for human aid has been vetoes by the USA. It is at the backing of Israel and is supplying ammunition to Israeli forces to bomb Gazans. (Kind courtesy Arab News)

At least 13 Palestinians have been killed and many others wounded in an Israeli air raid on the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. The UN Security Council is set to vote on a halt in the fighting after it was delayed by a day amid ongoing negotiations to stave off another US veto. US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has announced the formation of a coalition to patrol the Red Sea in response to Houthi attacks on commercial shipping. The Israeli military has said two more soldiers have been killed in Gaza. At least 19,667 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks since October 7. The death toll from Hamas’s attack on Israel stands at nearly 1,140.
Under foreign pressure to avoid killing innocents, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the war will not stop until a remaining 129 hostages are freed and Hamas is obliterated after its fighters' slaying of 1,200 Israelis. The conflict has spread beyond Hamas-ruled Gaza, including into the Red Sea where Iran-aligned Houthi forces have been attacking vessels with missiles and drones. That has prompted the creation of a multinational naval operation to protect commerce in the area, but the Houthis said they would carry on anyway, possibly with a sea operation every 12 hours.
"Our position will not change in the direction of the Palestinian issue, whether a naval alliance is established or not," Houthi official Mohammed Abdulsalam told Reuters, saying only Israeli ships or those going to Israel would be targeted. "Our position in support of Palestine and the Gaza Strip will remain until the end of the siege, the entry of food and medicine, and our support for the oppressed Palestinian people will remain continuous."
The United States announced the 10-nation coalition on Monday “These illegal attacks are an unacceptable threat to the global economy,” said UK Defense Secretary Grant Shapps, 'promising a multinational response to the Houthi drone and missile strikes disrupting shipping'. “These illegal attacks are an unacceptable threat to the global economy, undermining regional security and are threatening to drive up fuel prices,” said UK Defense Secretary Grant Shapps. “This is an international problem that requires an international solution. That is why HMS Diamond has joined Operation Prosperity Guardian.
“This new task force will protect shipping and vital trade routes in the Red Sea, where large amounts of goods and oil transit through to Europe and on to the UK.”
A British Royal Navy destroyer has joined a new international maritime protection force to protect shipping in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, the government in London said Monday. HMS Diamond is part of the Operation Prosperity Guardian task force seeking to deter attacks from Iran-backed Yemeni rebels on commercial vessels in the busy Bab Al-Mandeb strait.
Shapps sent HMS Diamond to the region last month to join the frigate HMS Lancaster, three mine hunters and a Royal Fleet Auxiliary support ship as part of the UK’s longstanding maritime presence in the Gulf.
It arrived in the Red Sea at the weekend and on Saturday shot down a suspected Houthi attack drone that was tracking commercial shipping, the Ministry of Defense said.
British spokesman told reporters: “We are confident that a task force with the US UK navies in particular and with our French allies provides considerable capacity to deter future attacks and protect commercial shipping.”

The Escalation of Israel-Hamas War
Dr Dalvinder Singh Grewal

Since the inhuman approach of Israel in attacking Gaza in search of Hamas fighters has caused enormous damage to civilian population by displacing 80% of Gazans by destroying over 60% of the buildings and ordering others to leave to places where they have no one to save, killing over 19000 civilians of which 70% are women and children with wounded waiting to die due to lack of medical aid, food, cold, thirst and shelters and above all bombs and missiles from sky and shooting by Israel soldiers who have been given the liberty to kill not only by Netanyahu but also aided by Americans is a hellish situation which seems to have not end since Netanyahu is adamant to eliminate all Hamas which does not appear to materialize. Will this catastrophic situation continuous for years since UNO resolutions by overwhelming majority are neglected and America vetoes all Security Council resolutions for ceasefire on humanitarian grounds?

Sympathies of the world are increasing for humanitarian ceasefire as can be seen by the number in United Nations resolutions and UN Security council resolutions. America has started feeling the pinch and has asked Israel to save civilians since they are losing friends. In Gulf countries, Qatar and Egypt are trying to buy peace, Saudi Arabia is sending human aid and global Palestinians arranging demonstrations world over for a ceasefire. Iran is rearing to enter to counter Israel and America its sworn enemies. It has launched Hauthis into action already who are effectively creating a fearing among the shipping world whose whips ply in or lose to re sea. It has already fired drones and missiles on 7 ships who it suspected to be supplying war material to Israel. America has created a multinational task force ‘Operation Prosperity Guardian’ of friendly countries with an aim to protect ships in red sea, UK and Pentagon have joined the coalition. Encouraged Israel is not only attacking Gaza but also has extended its missile attacks and police raids in west bank and Lebanon and Syria. Iran’s second fighter wing Hezbollah is yet to enter with full force with its over 1 million fighters. If it too enters the fight the escalation of the war will be at its maximum since other Arab nations who had developed close relations with America have restrained themselves and do not want to be a party to the Iran front.
Iran does not want to confront Israel directly due to direct involvement of USA. Moreover Iran is busy developing its nuclear {censored}nal and is in the process of developing ICBM which it wants to continue without interference which could be from USA. It is also eager to earn more rubble by supplying drone to Russia for use against Ukraine. It has put forward Houthi front forward by supplying missiles and drones to interfere transportation to Israel through Red Sea. It has not given a green signal to Hezbollah to enter into direct fight with Israel even though Israel is coaxing Hezbollah, Lebanon, West Bank and Syria by attacks by drones and its troops. How far Iran will hold back depends on these and many other factors but its jumping into the war zone later is not ruled out. This then may lead to a very tough fight for Israel.

Is USA’s continuous support justified? A famous saying “when the excuse is uglier than the sin” translates this approach of the US justification on Friday for being the only country on the UN Security Council to oppose an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Deputy US Ambassador to the UN Robert Wood told the Security Council that the draft resolution “was divorced from reality.” He reiterated his government, and Israel’s, declared position that a ceasefire would strengthen Hamas. However, the only thing that is indeed “divorced from reality” is this US position; particularly since it was coupled with the State Department invoking an emergency provision to approve the sale of tank shells to Israel, bypassing Congress. What is even more “divorced from reality” is the argument that Hamas will emerge stronger as a result of a cease fire. Ironically, both the veto and the emergency provision come after US Secretary of State Antony Blinken publicly criticized Israel for the high number of civilian deaths during its offensive in Gaza, saying that there is a gap between “the intent to protect civilians and the actual results”. How exactly can such a statement come from the same US State Department that just allowed Israel an additional 14,000 rounds of tank ammunition, valued at more than $100 million? However, what is even more “divorced from reality” is the argument that Hamas will emerge stronger as a result of a ceasefire.

First, if the US and Israel were serious about preventing Hamas from getting stronger, they should have done so 16 years ago by stopping the group’s biggest enabler, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, from “upgrading them from a terrorist organization to a partner,” as recently described by The Times of Israel in severe criticism of Netanyahu’s long-standing policy of furthering divisions by undermining the legitimate Palestinian Authority in the West Bank, and empowering Hamas in Gaza. Second, that continuing with a war that has killed more than 17,700 people, mostly civilians, women and children — will make Hamas weaker. This war only gains Hamas more sympathy and breeds similar groups. This is simply because, as proven so far, it is impossible to achieve Israel’s goal of eradicating the groups without a severe population death-toll, displacement and unprecedented damage to civilian infrastructure. By being the only country to veto an immediate ceasefire, the US has effectively granted Israel a further license to kill. It goes without saying that this sharply contradicts America’s declared values, and previous positions, such as its criticism of Russian over Ukraine.

This is the reason the sympathizers of Palestinians are coming out in open to support them vociferously though they find it difficult to come in direct fight with power like USA. The escalation however, is going to be gradual if this war continues

Israel has said: " Air attacks across Gaza – including in the southernmost city of Rafah – will continue as the death toll in the enclave today passed 20,000 since the start of the conflict". The UN human rights office has said it received “disturbing information” accusing Israeli forces of summarily executing at least 11 unarmed Palestinian men in Gaza City. Human Rights Watch has said most people in Gaza are displaced and susceptible to harm, as the WHO chief warns of a “lethal” mix of disease and hunger. A vote on a UNSC draft resolution that seeks to up aid deliveries to Gaza has not yet been implemented by Israel. US President Joe Biden has said he did not expect an imminent breakthrough as representatives of Israel, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad were in Egypt for the latest round of indirect captive release talks.
Despite the UNO and Security Counsel resolutions Israel has not relented on Bombing the civilian populations and destroying the houses en-mass and attacking refugee camps. Dozens of civilians are killed in an Israeli air strike on the al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza with many more reported buried in the concrete debris. Israeli forces continue to sustain losses with more than a dozen troops killed in heavy fighting over the weekend. At least 166 Palestinians killed, 384 wounded in Israeli attacks in last 24 hours. Government Media Office in Gaza says 103 journalists now dead. More than 20,400 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks since October 7. The revised death toll from Hamas’s attack on Israel stands at 1,139. Israel soldiers are also being killed in the fights with Hamas.

Israel war on Hamas continues despite resolutions. Israel continues pounding Palestine refugee camps, hospitals and schools in addition to searching for Hamas in through ground operations. Dozens of civilians are killed in an Israeli air strike on the al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza with many more reported buried in the concrete debris. Israeli forces continue to sustain losses with more than a dozen troops killed in heavy fighting over the weekend. At least 70 people have been killed in an Israeli air attack on Gaza’s Maghazi refugee camp, which a Palestinian Health Ministry spokesperson describes as a “massacre”. Aid groups and UN agencies say Israeli bombardments make implementing the UN Security Council humanitarian aid resolution near impossible. The Israeli army says it retrieved the bodies of five Israeli captives from a tunnel in Gaza’s Jabalia region.

There has been widespread anger against Netanyahu government, which many criticise for failing to protect civilians from Hamas’s October 7 attack and promoting policies that allowed Hamas to gain strength over the years. Prime Minister Netanyahu has avoided accepting responsibility for the military and policy failures. “Over time, the public will find it hard to ignore the heavy price paid, as well as the suspicion that the aims that were loudly heralded are still far from being attained, and that Hamas is showing no signs of capitulating in the near future,” wrote Amos Harel, a military affairs commentator for the Haaretz newspaper.

Death toll rises as Israel intensify Air, Ground and seat bombardment. Nearly 2 million Gaza people are now houseless. At least 35 people have been killed in Nuseirat and Maghazi refugee camps following Israeli bombings in central Gaza. An Israeli attack has hit a residential building near the Kuwaiti hospital in southern Gaza, killing at least 20. Israeli soldiers have fired at an aid convoy as it returned from northern Gaza along a route designated by the Israeli army, according to Thomas White, director of UNRWA affairs in Gaza. Israel’s security forces say they have “neutralised” a man who they say stabbed two people in an attack at the Mazmoria checkpoint, south of occupied East Jerusalem. In Gaza, at least 21,507 people have been killed and 55,915 injured in Israel attacks since October 7. The death toll from Hamas’s attack on Israel stands at 1,139. Israel used controversial weapons in Gaza war. On Thursday, an Israeli official acknowledged that the country’s military had used inappropriate munitions during an attck on the Maghzi refugee camp that killed at least 90 people earlier this week. The official said that Israel’s military would investigate what happened. But while little is known about the specific munitions used in Maghazi, this is far from the first time that Israel’s army has faced criticism over the alleged or confirmed use of controversial weapons in its war on Gaza.
In West Bank Israeli forces have assaulted Palestinian shepherds and arrested two people in the village of Jinba in the Masafer Yatta region in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources cited by the official Palestinian news agency WAFA. The Israeli army also pursued shepherds near the villages of Al-Halawa and Al-Markaz in Masafer Yatta, forcing them to leave their grazing lands. Injuries are reported in southern Lebanon after Israeli strike: Report. Reports are coming in of an Israeli strike that hit a car in southern and injured two people. On X, Israeli Channel 12 posted that two people were seriously injured in the attack. They also posted footage of the car in flames. Lebanese media channel al-Akhbar also posted the same footage, stating two people had been injured and taken to hospital after a drone strike in the village of Aitaroun. With a total of 504 Palestinians killed in the occupied West Bank so far this year, 2023 has been the deadliest year for Palestinians since the UN began recording casualties in 2005, UNRWA has said on X

The ramming attack happened in the past 30 minutes, according to Israeli media. The assailant was shot dead or “neutralised” to use the Israeli phrase. It’s one of several incidents that have happened. Again, we’ve seen several raids across the occupied West Bank, the most significant one taking place in the north in Al-Far’a refugee camp. That raid went on for several hours and only just came to an end about an hour ago. Israelis arrested six Palestinians in that raid, which now makes the total number of Palestinians arrested since October 7 about 4,800.
Since the war began, at least 308 people sheltering in UNRWA facilities including schools have been killed, the UN agency for Palestinian refugees has said on X. Another 1,095 people have been injured. “Initial reports indicate on 25 December, 2 people sheltering in UNRWA Maghazi Prep School were killed & 1 injured, result of a direct strike,” it said. “Nowhere in Gaza is safe.”Israel attacks cities, towns and refugee camps, killing up to 80 people and forcing thousands more to flee.
West Bank
In the past 24 hours, 187 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli strikes, the ministry said.A “skunk water” truck has been spraying water at Palestinians and Muslim worshippers near Al-Aqsa Mosque, says Al Jazeera’s Laura Khan.

The Israeli city of Sderot, which is located near the Gaza Strip, is expected to extend its evacuation protocol until the end of January. Israeli forces have detained at least 14 Palestinians, including a child, in a series of raids across the occupied West Bank, the Wafa news agency reports. The Israeli army says there have been several launches from Lebanese territory towards northern Israel, and it has responded by striking the source of the attacks with artillery.

Netanyahu’s cabinet is divided. Mohammed Cherkaoui, a professor of conflict resolution at George Mason University, spoke about the divisions within the Israeli cabinet. Netanyahu’s overall strategy is not going to produce what he hopes: the eradication of Hamas and some control over Gaza. This internal division within Netanyahu’s war cabinet and government, in addition to international pressure coming from France, the US and the UK, leaves him with no choice but to sustain a political status quo. Since this government has stuck with this far-right agenda that has escalated the whole region into this war, Netanyahu either has to sacrifice his political future with it if he sticks to his own side, or he has to regroup through another cabinet. Netanyahu has to go back to square one and come up with a different strategy because if not, his political future and his military strategy in Gaza are not going anywhere. Latest UN report warns the situation in the territory is rapidly deteriorating and calls for accountability.

Dear Logical Sikh, I was not talking at all about moral comparison between Sikh gurus and Jews. My point simply is that Islam has been extremely barbaric to Sikhs and to Jews.

Dear Logical Sikh, I was not comparing any morality or spirituality between Sikhism and Judaism. I just pointed out the extreme barbarism meted out to Sikhs and to Jews by Islam throughout history. That is all.

Religious following is based on individuals. Yehudi following is different than Sikhs. Hence there are great differences due to time, situations and places and to equate them is not feasible. Over a time their ideology have changed. Even though they have faced barbarity yet they have not leant lessons from that barbarity and are showing the same on Palestinians. Even Muslims have two different ideologies; one Shia and another Sunnis. Most of the Sunni Muslims do not corroborate what Hamas has done. In Saudi Arabia I felt that they were not internally supportive of Hamas as they thought that Hamas is a terrorist's organization supported by Hezbollah, Houthi and Iran who all working against the remaining Arab ideologies. They consider Hamas created by Israel to counter the Occupied West Bank to keep both of them at logger heads and use and treat them as slaves. However, Hamas having realized the game of Israel, watching the atrocities of Israel on them stood against them and attacked them to avenge for these atrocities. They never thought that Israel will go all out to eliminate Palestinians from Gaza to ensure that Gaza remains its permanent part with unhindered opposition which they have giving from 1976 to 2005. Israel's extremes atrocities are to force Palestinians out of Gaza for Israel's permanent occupation of Gaza sans Palestinians as is clear from the statements of Netanyahu and other other Israel leaders and actions thereof.

This is the reason of Israel atrocities on Palestinians in Gaza and West bank. Even in Israel there are two views about this one view is to occupy Gaza and another is to vacate Gaza. The latest situation is that at least 20 Palestinians have been killed in an Israeli air attack on a residential building in Rafah. The Israeli war cabinet meeting on ‘post-war’ plans for Gaza has been cancelled after opposition from far-right ministers. Tel Aviv protest leader says only an end to occupation can bring security for Israel. The spokesman for the Qassam Brigades said there will be no hostage deal before a complete stop to the Israeli war. UN Human Rights office says settlers feel “emboldened” to carry out attacks in the occupied West Bankt
Syria, Lebanon, Qatar, Iran, Hezbollah's and Houthis keep on supporting Hamas. This is why some israel's war cabinet members say that they are fighting on 5 fronts. For example Syria’s Defence Ministry said that the country’s air defences intercepted Israeli strikes on areas surrounding the capital Damascus.

In a statement posted on Facebook, the Defence Ministry said that Israel carried out the attack at dawn “from the direction of the Lebanese territory” targeting a number of points in the vicinity of the capital.
“Our air defence means repelled the aggression missiles and shot down some of them. The aggression resulted in some material losses,” the ministry added. Earlier, Reuters news agency reported that Israel struck Syria’s main air defence base, as well as a radar station in the Tel al-Sahn area in the Sweida province of southwestern Syria. Israel regularly attacks sites in Syria that it says are linked to Iran-backed armed groups but rarely publicly acknowledges such raids.
Al Jazeera

Citing Syrian army and intelligence sources, Reuters has reported that Israeli strikes reported earlier were on a main Syrian air defence base. The strikes were believed to have targeted the base, as well as a radar station, in the Tel al-Sahn area in the Sweida province of southwestern Syria, a Syrian military intelligence source and another regional security official familiar with the matter told the news agency.
Last month, another anti-aircraft defence system and radar station in Tel Qulaib and Tel Maseeh in southern Syria were hit in what the senior intelligence sources said was an intensified campaign by Israel to disrupt Syrian air defence systems that Iran was involved in expanding.
Israeli has repeatedly struck Syrian government positions since the beginning of the war, in what military experts have said appears to an effort to slowing Iran’s growing entrenchment in Syria. Israeli war on Palestinians

More than 8,663 Palestinian children have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza since October 7, according to the government media office, which added that thousands more are missing under the rubble amid relentless bombardment. An overwhelming number of more than 21,000 people killed in the nearly three months of Israeli bombardment, which is the most destructive in recent history, have been civilians. Israel has repeatedly targeted schools, and even neonatal care centres have not been spared, resulting in the killing of newborn babies.
According to Save the Children data in early November, a child was being killed every 10 minutes. The UN has called the besieged Palestinian enclave “a graveyard” for children due to the high casualty figures.

There are conscious keepers in Israel as well. Israeli conscientious objector says she refuses to be part of ‘endless cycle of bloodshed’

Globally sympathy has been increasing against the unhindered atrocities of IDF. Spanish politician shows solidarity with Palestinians in parliament. Maria Marin, member of the Podemos party, brought an effigy of a shrouded Palestinian child into parliament during a meeting meant to address the budget of the region of Murcia.

Her gesture was meant to represent the thousands of Palestinian children killed in Gaza.
“Spain, its people, and the people of Murcia will never be friends with the perpetrators of the genocide,” she said, criticizing officials’ disregard for Gaza’s ongoing suffering. Translation: Today, the holy innocents are the more than 8,000 children murdered in Palestine by Israel, and King Herod is the genocidal Benjamin Netanyahu. The martyrs of Gaza, present in the plenary. The world cannot close its eyes. Let’s stop the genocide.
Blinken to find himself ‘between a rock and a hard place’ on Middle East trip. With the top US diplomat expected to make his fifth trip to Israel since the beginning of the war, he is likely to face regional Arab allies increasingly pushing for a ceasefire, Natali Tocci, director of the Istituto Affari Internazionali, told Al Jazeera. The trip comes as Egypt has taken more of a leading role in pushing for a ceasefire, including introducing a plan towards the cessation of fighting in recent days. Meanwhile, while the US has publicly indicated it wants Israel to move to a lower-intensity phase in the war, it has not heaped any public pressure on Israeli officials to actually do so. “At the moment, we don’t see the US actually putting pressure on Israel for a ceasefire,” Tocci said. “However, as that Egyptian role is actually increasing … in calling for a ceasefire, Blinken will basically find himself in between a rock and a hard place.”

Dear @JPSM , i nobody knows barbarity of 17th and 18th century to Sikhs more than our Shaheed Sikhs. Despite that.

Few Muslims were in Guru Hargobind Ji's army despite Mughal tensions with Sikhs after Guru arjan.
A few Muslims were in the baba Banda Singh bahadar's army despite him rallying Mughals in punjab.
Alot of Muslims were in Maharaja Ranjit Singh's army despite rivalry with Pathans.

My point is that our ancestors knew better to seperate religion from barbarity.

For a second thought, why not give us a clue how many people Capitalist world killed in last 2 centuries, if that's our methodology of picking one side.

It is not the religions known for atrocities; it is the powerful people who used regions for their furtherance.
In Sikhism the first martyr was Ruqun-ud-din, the Qazi of Mecca. Mardana, a Muslim, was life long friend of Guru Nanak. Most of he battles of Gur Gobind Singh were fought against Hindu Hill Rajas. In the battle of Bhangani Pathan fought and laid their live for Guru Gobind Singh. Wazid Khan's wife gave her life against Wazd Khan's order on Chhote Sahibzade. Auranzeb's daughter studied and had faith in Adi Granth. The writer of Guru Gobind singh's battles and martyrdom of Shbzade (Ganje Shahidan) was a Musim. The list is long. There were bad and good Muslims; similarly there were bad and good Hindus. Hence what is required to be considered is the goodness and badness of individuals,
In Israel the right wing Yehudi's led by Netanyahu are causing unabashed butchery of Palestinians while there are some Yehudi in Israel itself who have been seen raising their voices against this mayhem. For example a Yehudi girl Sofi Orr who is only 17 whose interview has gone viral. She’s made a decision not to join the israel army despite abuse and threats she’s been receiving. While Israeli society has strongly shifted to the right since October 7, she says there can be no military solution to a political problem. She is a conscientious objector on why she won’t enlist. She objects to the mayhem. This Israeli conscientious objector says she refuses to be part of ‘endless cycle of bloodshed’. She criticises the bloodshed of innocents.

Meanwhile at least 20 Palestinians have been killed in an Israeli air attack on a residential building in Rafah. The Israeli military says it will withdraw five combat brigades taking part in the ground invasion of Gaza so troops can “gain strength” for future battles. Israeli reservists returning to their families “will allow a significant relief for the economy”, says Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari. Israel’s Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich says Palestinians should leave Gaza making way for Israelis who could make th desert bloom.
At least 100 people were killed and 286 wounded in Israeli attacks on homes in central Gaza in the past 24 hours, the health ministry says. There are fierce ground battles taking place in the centre of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza. Israeli attacks resulted in 28,822 people killed or missing, including 9,100 children, in the past 85 days, according to the Gaza government’s media office. Pro-Palestine campaigners call for Gaza ceasefire on New Year Eve.
