I think before taking such a harsh decision they should have given more chances to let Prof.Darshan offer his explanation to what his views are.He is well versed and Giani person and dedicated to the Panth..

Shameful day for Sikhs worldwide, as even discussion of this matter is banned... sure they would like to silence all quarters as they have been doing all this while...

Yes WE CAN DO something and must.....in one of my earlier posts i outlined
a few things we could do ....

1. Educate the masses by sending information through e-mails etc with a plea
to keep the e-mail chain going just like the chain-letters we receive all the
time. Keep the matter alive and circulating......
2. In the subject part of our e-mails let us use "Ex-communicate Me too -
I support professor Darshan Singh and SGGS Ji"....
3. Wear black arm-bands to gurduaras and when asked explain that we are
moaning the death of Thruth etc....
4. Do not donate any funds to the takths, if so moved please take the pain to
provide rations which may be harder to steal......
5. Promote greater understanding of what and who is really behind these
moves...people like the badals, rss, deras and babas.....
The 5 clowns ar hoping that this matter will slowly fade away so we have to keep it going and not allow them to walk all over us.

that, however, does not mean that the institution of Akal Takht Jathedar is beyond repair and redemption. Sikhs need a strong central authority to resolve so many contentious issues that keep dogging and dividing the community. There should be a procedure to elect a non-partisan Jathedar of Akal Takht.Jathedar should be a man of high integrity and character, deeply knowledgeable about Sikh religion, history and its traditions and could not be easily removed from his position. He should be able to communicate in Gurmukhi,& English.

And what is happening today has little to no resemblance to the historical origins of Akal Takht or Guru Hargbind or the evolution of the Akal Takht into the 20th Century. The institution has been *******ed. Voices speaking were either silenced or ignored.

The AKAL TAKHAT..and all subsequent Sarbatt Khalsas held there were to CHALLENGE the MUGHAL AUTHORITY in DELHI and give SIKHS na ALTERNATIVE..SACHEE PATSHAHEE.

IT was NEVER used AGAINST SIKHS !!

The AKAL TAKHAT subsequent to the 1900's has ALWAYS been used against SIKHS...
EXCEPT in the 1920's when it was used to mount a CHALLENGE to the BRITSH IN DELHI leading to freedom of Gurdwars, SGPC and Akali Dal.....and then again..in the...1960s when it was used to CHALLENGE HINDU BIGOTS hiding under the "secular garb"..Ruling DELHI over the PUNJABI SUBA ISSUE.

The Use of Akal Takhat and SGPC during the Indira Gandhi declared Emergency Rule was NOT a SIKH Challenge but Badal selling off Sikh POwer to USE by PROXY for BJP behalf and INVITE the subsequent backlash of 1984. The Darbar Sahib Complex should never have been used for this....

I mean our own with sikhi saroop Khalsa who understand both Lang English & Gurmakhi( Punjabi) Because No Akali or SPC have the power on Akal Takhat Jathedar

When we have elctions for SPC than why not for jathedar too
One jathedar is for rest of our lives. Look at the Jathedar IQBAL SIngh he is jathedar fr how long and he his wife what happened so that is I meant by we need our own strong central authority so no one can play with our sysytem

Dear All,

I think harder the action by the Akaal Takht higher and stronger would be the sympathy wave in favor of the one against whom the writ is passed. Let us hope that sikhs shall remain united in these turbulent times and find ways and means to re-organise the administrative structure on which the edifice of sikhi stands.
For sikhs Guru Granth sahib is the only Guru and shall ever be. I wish that whenever I am born , I should take birth as a sikh may be in better circumstances where I have not to see the 1984 riots. I just cannot forget those days and as a memory I have my mother who is to be taken care of. God has given me everything. I have no complaints. I need not work to earn my livelihood. Placed nicely in life, But I have 1984 as a constant companion that reminds me of my Dearest Saintly father who had to sacrifice himself and his nice job as a civil servant.My mother lives with me as a daily reminder as to what she might have undergone in 1984 when I was a kid only.

I really want to see her well before I die.

Yes host of the sur sagar did looks like one side more like Sukhbir Singh because the host is more close to one Gurudwara who support the Dasam Granth so you can guess...
That gentleman in the Gurudwara, I had a chance to talk to him afterword. He doesn’t even know what he is taking about just have the same copy papers and wanted to prove we believe in Guru Granth Sahib is not true. I think I debate it very well with him with the strength of Guru only one guru That in GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI

I have asked him to go to India when they have Sarbat Khalsa Meeting I will pay for your half ticket to India than we can debate open "not in one room" Like Jathedar of Akaal Takhat wanted to Talk to Prof Darshan SIngh Ji one office not Front of Guru Granth Sahib like our Puratan Maryada

Cut to short, we all have to open our eyes when we go to Gurudwara's and see what they are saying on the stage when they asked the time.

This is Canada or USA you can not say a word against with name in public other wise you will be sued so I request them who ever is asking or debating a time here in Canada or USA Do not say a word against with name of any one in Public otherwise!

Please leave the Panth in One do not divide us we are one and we believe in only One guru that IS GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI
