As Farmers entering into the free market their fears are genuine .This is why Multiple rounds of talks have taken place between Government and Farmers to discuss ,some clauses may need reworking . However, a full repeal will be a step back for Indian agriculture. With these laws the farmer is allowed to sell in the free market, which in the long term leads to the best returns as evidenced in almost every sector that was liberalized.

Supreme Court has intervened and formed a four member committee to address the issue. Now Farmer Unions should meet and resolve it.They cant be adamant on repeal of these Law and sit on dharna forever as it will be not help agriculture and economy

In life if we want to grow we have to embrace change .No Laws are perfect and if modifications required should be done .Reform Oriented mindset should be encouraged to move the Nation Forward .

Let's be clear, everyone who has reviewed the laws says they are written poorly, in a partisan way, with many loopholes, leaving the kisans open to exploitation by corporates. On that basis alone they should be scrapped and sector reforms should be done in collaboration with the farmers. This approach to governance is reminiscent of - wait for it - the worst kind of authoritarianism! Suprise surprise (not)!
If reforms of the sector are desired why are they not being done in consultation with the kisans? The farmer unions have said many times reforms are required, do them in consultation!
Because that is not the kind of leader Modi wants to be. He wants to be the kind of leader that big business can say, Modi gets what we want no matter what the risk of public opinion. That is why, contrary to historical RSS opinion, he sees the importance of a small state with the new Liberal approach to economic intervention - shrink the state and allow big business to fill the gap.
Modi's mission, is clear for all farmers to see. I recommend you review your moral compass given the deaths of the dedicated protestors so far. Economic liberalism is just big business desires at the cost of everyone else.

His country is in a mess .Look at the chaos. They are in deep lockdown. The Labor Party is at the throat of the government .Economy has collapsed .Why doesn't he concerned with those issue instead of meddling in Indian affairs .

TS Dhesi - Give ur British citizenship & come back permanently . if u r so concerned for India.

Britain clears the stand that FarmLaws2020 are Major Reforms taken by Indian Government

Watching all the clips on Social media specially the punjabi media . Anti Farmer Bill Protest are manifestation of two narratives 1. Hatred for Modi and every single scheme he comes up with 2. Age old battle of Communism and Capitalism.

No one is discussing actually what is these three BILLS are about.

The media anchor dont know what Farmer Laws are about .Neither the protestors or reporters because no one have read the FARMER LAWS.

Someone in social media are asking why MSP is not a law . The fact is MSP was never a law .It was introduce to encourage farmers largely in Punjab & Haryana to push up Food Production which is now being called a Green Revolution .IT was a sought of Incentive, so if you produce more we buy it with a particular price. It has an annual variable .

There are apples, kinnows ,grape being produced which are all agriculture product(not covered under MSP) .Not every grain which comes out of every field is purchased by government nor is it purchased as per MSP .

THESE REFORMS ARE NOT ABOUT PDS and MSP .These reforms are giving the Farmer a choice (Still Farmers can go to corrupt vicholiya to sell there production)

"If an industrialist can sell his products anywhere in India and the world ,why should a farmer not be allowed to do so''

Anti Farmer Bill lobby wants choice provided to them on n everything from phones to cars and tractors they are driving to block Highways .but dont want the poor farmer who has been exploited for so long to have a choice to sell his produce.
If the Govt. want farmers to sell anywhere, why don't they just make the law that farmers can sell in any APMC mandi,
If the Govt. wants Private sector to Buy directly from farmers , Then why cant they ask private players to buy directly from APMC mandi ? Why separate Mandi ?

APMC is a government regulated body so it procures all foods through APMC. Only 6% of the farmers in India sell through APMC to the Government .These 6 per cent are all large farmers, primarily residing in the two states of Punjab and Haryana.

Why should APMC be the sole buyer for all the farmers produce? The corrupt monoply of APMC has been recognized by all political parties and even BHARAT KISSIAN UNION (BKU).BKU in 2008 even went out to protest arguing for rights of farmers to sell directly to cooperates . So the government has not abolished the APMC but given a choice outside APMC.

The Kisan manifesto 2019 asking for abolishment of APMC and Essential Commodities Act. Now they are doing backflip for political reasons.
